Honestly, I think Gump is more dated than this by a lot. After watching AB again, I've come to realize it's Breaking Bad without the Meth. Lester wakes up one day, and wants to make a huge change from his mundane life.
I take Gump as a loveable comedy-drama, that's all. American Beauty has some interesting points at times, even if some things make me go 'what' like the plastic bag.

Yeah, can't say I liked that. But the film has a lot to say. And anyone who works in an office environment knows exactly what Lester's life is.

All-Star Superman.

After seeing all the reviews of BvS, I needed something to restore my faith in Superman other than the original Donner film. While not perfect and certainly disjointed in places, this is as inspiring, poignant and moving as it gets.

5/5

Haha, right? :lol that guy was so weird, but he really had his moments. I love him for calling out that blonde cheerleader on being boring and ugly. I remember watching it in English class alongside Forest Gump in a History class (at the same time no less), both films spoke to me but I think I appreciate American Beauty more. I really just watch Forest Gump to put me in a good mood.

Gump is a good film, but not something I'll seek out. Lt. Dan is the only reason I'll watch it.

It comes on HBO often, so I watch it while working on stuff. But a film I would seek that I watched recently would be:

Good Will Hunting - 9/10

Absolutely love this film, great performances and moments really bring out everything about it. Found it very believable at times, and it still gets me at moments. It's also really the only time I like Ben Affleck :lol

10 Cloverfield Lane - 7/10

The last 10 minutes are a bit too typical. It feels like that's definitely where the reshoots came in and frankly I think the film could have been better without them and standing on it's own. (no Cloverfield connection) Not that it has much in the way of that.

If I had to guess, I'd say originally she makes it out to see Goodman big time overreacted because he's crazy and that would have probably made it a more interesting movie than actual aliens showing up and us getting a pretty hollywood ending to an otherwise solid flick.

Good Wil Hunting is one of my very favorite movies.
The acting, casting and script is excellent. The dialogue
does indeed sound very real.I like the scene where
Robin Williams' character tells Wil off in their second
meeting. " I couldn't get to sleep until I remembered
you're just a scared kid..." Great stuff!
