I made myself sit thru the horrible hunger games ,OMG where does my hatred begin for this crap fest of a so called movie's. UGH I was so hoping Elizabeth Banks would've been shot for the horrible costumes makeup. I tried to give this movie and sequel a chance. The 1st one was bearable but by the 2nd movie i wanted to shut off the 2nd movie a hour into it but stuck it out to the most boring end i ever watched. Jennifer lawrence just a annoying face i wanted her to die for the lame character name alone Catness WTF ??? lmao i wish i never watched this.

Being critical is one thing, getting worked up over her name is another. I couldn't begin to list all the stupid names in films, both good and bad.

Hah, just watched Mockingjay part I.

They're better than I assumed they'd be but probably not something I'd revisit. I'll watch part II over the weekend.

I enjoyed mockingjay part 1. It was really different than the other Hunger Games movies which l didn't care for at all.

Maybe try enjoy with a drink but this movie just wasnt my flavor and nothing on so figured i'd give a go sorry if i'm harsh. I just couldnt buy what this was selling.

I think people only have praise or issues due to casting. Reading the books to this, I personally enjoyed em. Same for Twilight and Harry Potter.

X-Men: Apocalypse - 86/100

I enjoyed it very much. I personally will take this trilogy over the original.

Yep, me too. I give it a solid 8/10 too. It's on par with Civil War IMO.

X-Men: Apocalypse - 4/10. Way too overstuffed. Not enough character development. Left me feeling disappointed in how little they used each of the new characters.

The Revenant: 7/10

It was good. Tom Hardy was fantastic, as was Domhnall Gleeson. Leo was fine. It got a bit ridiculous in the amount of abuse the character got and still kept going. Loved the music. And the scenery was magnificent.
And are we to assume that he dies in the end? If so, that seems to be Inarritu's current MO: lead dies in the end in an ambiguous way.

Leo was fine ? He won an Oscar for it :lol

Yankee Doodle Dandy - 6/10 Love Cagney but didn't care much for this movie.

X-men First Class 9/10
x-men Days of future past 9/10

X-men Apocalypse 8/10 - endlessly fun and totally out there, and a great end to a trilogy.

Truth be told, it felt like a pity attempt. He was good, but he has played others characters much better. I'd say he should of won for Wolf instead of Matthew Mconaughey. I'd say Jacob Tremblay should of been nominated and gotten the win for best male performance.

Civil War ranks higher for me based on action, but XM:A builds up Apocalypse much better than Zemo. Not to say Zemo wasn't great, but it just didn't strike me as dastardly.

Idk if I'd say end of a trilogy. It does sort of, with the new team; but it still feels like we got a lot coming forward.

I agree that I've definitely seen him in better roles, but he was good in this nonetheless.

Revenant is Dicaprio's best film by far, at least to me. Saying he got the Oscar out of pity is pretty insulting. There are many deserving actors much older than he is, who never got an Oscar, Harrison Ford comes to mind.

I agree with Doc it was a pity Oscar. He's definitely been better in other stuff. Like I said, he was fine. But I truly believe Hardy and Gleeson were better in the movie. To be fair, I don't think Leo was really given that much to do except look angry and in pain.

And Ford Oscar-worthy? Maaaaybe. Listen, I LOVE the man. I grew up without a father and he was the closest thing I had to a father figure (very sad, I know!). But I realize he's not the greatest actor out there. Very true he's given some great performances. He was deservedly nominated for Witness. But overall I can easily say Leo is a better actor.

My eyes are bleeding right now after reading this.

I won't deny that Ford gave up a bit with the acting, but any look at movies like Witness and (especially) Mosquito Coast, shows that he definitely has the chops.

I think his last big swing for an Oscar was Regarding Henry, but I'm glad that such an obvious and trite movie didn't win any.

His performance as Branch Rickey in 42 was his last Oscar attempt and it was a good try. Forgot it was Ford half the time I was watching him.

Leo > Ford when it comes to acting. Duh.

Ford > Leo when it comes to who has the cooler roles. Duh.

Personally I am not huge on most of Leo's work, I do like Shutter Island and The Departed but that's mostly due to Scorsese's direction. I recognize he's a good actor... I just don't think he's the prodigy the rest of the world seems to think he is. I like Harrison more. Neither of them hold a place in my top 10 favorites though.
