Falling Down - 4/10 Eeeh, it wasn't bad per say, but as society sucks critiques go, I've seen better. Didn't like the main character, liked the cop couple better, I found little of teachable or artistic value.
It was just a long ass garden variety cop drama TV show episode.
Yeah it was, that's what I figured, it's boxed in this 90's trend of social critique, I think American Psycho or even Fight Club do a better job at it. I'm sure it was a lot fresher in the 90's.Is that the first time you'd seen it? It was really a film for a particular era, and made a lot more sense seeing it in the 90s.
Having said that, when I saw it I thought it was interesting, different... had some good moments - but I didn't feel it was the brilliant treatise many were saying it was.
