You may not like it, but this is what peak patrician looks like.

Agreed. I don't get the praise this one got when it's bogged down with 2003 level CGI in places and Pennywise has no personality... and sounded like Scooby Doo.
Yeah, his voice was neither here not there, they made many confused choices in this movie, trying to make it scawy in a cliché kind of way.

Assassin's Creed. Can't really rate it 'coz I got so bored drifted off about 1/3 of the way in. I think the point of the movie was for the whole cast to get turns practicing looking portentous (like rehearsing for other films) 'coz there was a lot of that. (Maybe they were rehearsing for cameos in upcoming comic movies re the fate of the world etc.)

ONLY that, far as I could tell re dialogue. Lots of grim looks and and *mystic* hooded robes.

There was a lot of what looked like imitations of Asian martial arts movies too. Like, no-one even got sweaty or was breathing hard. Anyway, can see why this one tanked at the theaters IMO waste of a good cast. If only a few Wilhelm screams had been thrown in when folks were sailing from those rooftops.

The Taking of Pelham 123 (2007) - Dumpster fire/10

Second viewing since there wasn't anything on and I felt like watching a bad movie, plus Travolta's "acting" and I stress that word... is so incredibly over the top and ****** chill inducing that it's captivatingly bad. It makes his performance in Face-Off Oscar worthy.

And I forgot the schlock Tony Scott was directing near the end of his life. The awful camera pans over and over is headache inducing and redundant.

The original Pelham is better obviously. Gritty and dirty NYC, and Robert Shaw is one hundred fold a better actor and is the only reason I go back to it.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol2 : 7.9/10 I really enjoys this and was surprised by some of the recent low scores here. Honestly its loads better than most of the crap released this year.....funny, very beautiful to look at, and a nice serious ending with an emotional tug....

It was a bit heavy on the cgi , but thats the universe GOTG is in.....

Highly enjoyable, the whole family loved it.

AVP - 6.5/10
It was lame fun. :lol

Spider-Man: Homecoming - 7.5/10
I'm excited to see what they do with a sequel.

Maggie (2015) - 5.5/10

"Logan" meets "Old Yeller" but with the emotional impact of neither. Can't fault them for trying something new with the zombie genre though and it's a respectable enough entry in Arnold's career.

Pumpkinhead: 6.5/10

Never saw it before now, though I knew of it as a kid. Fun little horror movie, with an original premise, and good acting from Henrickson. But nothing mind blowing.

Logan didn't have any emotional impact for me, other than sheer anger because yet again we watch Logan get his *** beat the entire time.

Assassin's Creed -- 4/10 Couple of decent scenes, but overall I just didn't care about anyone or anything in the film. Surprising that some high-profile actors signed up for this considering the end result.

It's almost as if it didn't even need to be a "Zombie" movie, could have just been that she was ill with a highly communicable disease. Guess they thought jumping on the zombie bandwagon would garner them a few extra bucks at the box office.

Jurassic World - 7/10

It certainly has its issues, but it's considerably better than Jurassic Migraine 3.

Fass gotta eat. That's all I thought about when I first heard he was in it. Game films are always doomed.

I still fear the day Metal Gear finally gets green lit. It's been in development hell for over 15 years.

That's what it felt like when I watched it. Jeremy Irons appearance in a film at this point is pretty much just a paycheck too (even though I still love him in everything--even Dungeons and Dragons). Out of all of them, I think I was more surprised that Marion Cotillard decided to do it. She was better in this than she was in TDKR though. :lol
