Rogue One - 6/10

Boring to the core but it had some nice stuff with Vader at the end. Maybe it's because I'm not much of a SW fan anymore, but ROTS is a better movie than this IMO.

It sucks that Hardy's Bane had to follow Ledger's Joker because I thought he gave a great performance. I also could always understand what he was saying. The accusation that he was hard to understand was just people being sheeple and going with what was the popular opinion from the trailer which the film makers fixed for the final movie. I haven't watched either TDK or Rises in awhile, it would be interesting to just watch Rises to see how it stands on it's own in my mind.

It's a great ending to a great trilogy with some awkward bumps in it. Just like the first two movies had awkward bumps no one pointed them out though

Plexworthy : Yep
Rewatchability: 6/10

I already watched it twice, second time with my daughter who is begging me to see it. I wanted to preview it to be sure it was not too inappropriate.

Overall I really loved this new take. It’s much more faithful to the original story. You cannot beat Tim Curry as Pennywise, but they did a really good job , and I like the new penny wise almost as much. Well paced with some really creepy stuff. Nothing really scares, but the creep factor was over the top. It’s nice to see horror that works in the level rather than the overt jump shock and gore (can’t believe I am saying that)

Baby Driver: 7/10

Good, not great. Seemed like Wright was going a bit outside of his comfort zone with something like this. His humor wasn't given a lot of room to breathe, and the mix of surreal with real didn't always mesh well. This is one where style seems to triumph over substance. But the car chases were all well done, and the casting was great. Jon Hamm's arc was probably the best thing about the film, but Jaimie Foxx was also a terrific scumbag. Makes me a bit sad to think that Kevin Spacey's career is all but over. Waitress seems like a young clone of the waitress from Twin Peaks. I enjoyed the soundtrack by and large.

I need to watch TRON: Legacy again. I caught the last couple minutes of it while channel surfing a few weeks back and had totally forgotten that Flynn's son brought the computer girl into the real world. It made me very intrigued to see how it all played out again.

Finally saw IT - 5 out of 10
Poor storytelling, non existent plot, dumb characters, bad editing, some of the kids were poor actors, and not really all that scary.
Pennywise had an interesting design, about the only positive thing I can say.

Also, Supposedly this takes place in 88'-89', yet the kids in the movie looked and acted nothing like kids did back then. I was around the same age as these kids were in 89' and I was confused as hell to when this was taking place. Maybe chalk it up to parts of America that were slower adapting to the latest trends.

Got no landline internet, so decided to watch The Hangover Trilogy.

The Hangover.

Possibly one of the best comedies of all time with perfect casting and acting. A film that fires on all cylinders.

5/5.

The Hangover Part II.

Oh boy! A sequel I thought couldn’t be made because the nature of the first film being a one off deal! Wait, this is the first film all over again!

2/5.

The Hangover Part III.

Let me guess; they’re doing the first film again? Oh they’re not? Awesome! Let’s see what happens nex... OMG why is this film so demented and dark? Geez!

3/5.
