Only the Brave - 8/10

I watched this blind pretty much. I had an idea that it was based on a real event but I didn't know how it would go.

I presumed someone would die and it'd be tragic but holy Christ.

It's the kind of thing you cannot do in a work of fiction -> killing everyone after making you spend so much of the runtime watching their lives and going into detail that won't have pay-off <- because it can seem like a smack in the face - but this being a true story - harsh, harsh reality. The film did a good job of depicting such sudden, huge loss and giving the viewer even an inkling of what it feels like for those left behind.

The Snowman - 6/10

I absolutely adore The Snowman, such a sad and beautiful tale and I always listen to the hauntingly good soundtrack whenever I feel blue. It's just one of those films that makes you feel grateful to be al.. hey wait a sec! There's another movie also called "The Snowman" Screw that, there's only ONE Snowman!

Baby Driver 4/10

Entertaining enough, but why the hell this movie focuses on that boring uncharismatic twit of a character instead of, seriously, ANY of the other characters is beyond me. The high-calibre acting of the supporting actors just amplifies how lame "Baby" is by comparison.

The only reason to watch this is for Jon Hamm and Lily James. You will root for them,
and you will end up hating "Baby" Ansel Elgort (that's not a name, it's a bad scrabble hand)by the end of it.

Every 5 minutes you have another character pointing out how unique and interesting and talented and quirky "Baby" is. Or telling us how he's a good kid, or that his heart isn't in the game. This is because "Baby" himself is expressionless, and bland as hell. He could have been replaced with a bag of flour wearing sunglasses for most of the movie.

I seriously hate this actor now, and it's the only thing I've seen him in.

Although, this movie has helped me figure out who I would cast as Bruce Wayne to match my dream casting of Eddie Redmayne as The Joker.
Jon Hamm. Somebody write some letters, this would totally work. I'm picturing a Neal Adams-ey universe.

You take all that back. BABY DRIVER was fantastic.

The 15:17 to Paris 3/10 terrible acting by the child actors especially in the first half.I know you wanted to use the real people but they were not much better adult actors then the children and their dialog throughout was lame and uninteresting.. just to get to the 1min19seconds of heroism.AND THEN you left out the fist real hero in the film who fights and gets shot. And was not included in the Honor's by the French.Clint you made a true story basically suck big time.
