Lost In Space: just finished the series. Well acted, phenomenal sets and locations, great effects........

But overall predictable....

Oceans 8.. 4/10 I never liked Bullock, but I thought after all this time maybe she got better,NOT!

Movie was a waste of talent for Blanchett and Hathaway.Best part was the couple of minutes near the very end.The caper that you didn't see with Blanchett and Shaobo Qin.The movie should have been about that.

Hereditary - 9/10

Basically left me speechless. Plays on two of my biggest fears ( your family turning on you , and guillttt!!!!). Some raw stuff, and some jaw dropping moments. Definitely more of a slow burn with drama elements. Some scenes seemed excruciatingly drawn out on purpose to drive you crazy. But unforgettable, rushing back to see it. A24 is the master of modern horror.

Double Feature:
Empire Strikes Back 10/10
The Last Jedi 8.5/10

This is actually a very interesting combo to watch back to back. I can completely see Empire Luke making the same mistakes that Last Jedi Luke made. Looking ahead instead of paying attention to the moment at hand and making decisions based on his emotions and inner turmoil rather than what is presented in front of him (Empire Luke ending his training early because of visions that his friends will be in pain/ displaying no patience for Yoda's teachings VS. TLJ Luke almost killing Ben from his future visions of what Ben will do and deciding to end the Jedi Order because it will just create the cycle again instead of training someone who needs his help) I know I am in the minority around here but the decisions Luke made in TLJ make complete sense when you take into account the character flaws Luke displayed in the OT. In Jedi he was a different person, however when he failed spectacularly with Ben, it makes sense to me that he made the decision to find the first Jedi Temple and want to destroy the earliest teachings along with removing himself from the war which came along with his mistakes. He regressed in the face of failure. But I'm the end, Luke Skywalker always finds a way to see his mistakes and do what is right. My favorite cinematic hero and the TLJ amplifies my love of the character.

Hereditary -7.6/10

A better than average psychological horror film, well worth the price of admission. Beautiful 70's inspired composition, with a lead performance reminiscent of Shelley Duvall in The Shining. However, The Shining this movie is not. Don't pay too much attention to the hype, if you're an avid horror fan.

Solo - 8/10 I enjoyed the crap out of it. I could have used a little more screen time with Empire type characters but it was a fun ride. Loved the cast by the end of the movie.

Baywatch - 5/10 This movie is okay if you are just looking for some eye candy. Had a few funny parts but not enough. Glad it was free on Amazon prime video.
