Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

^^^^ i forgot about that :lol i think that might have been the only part i enjoyed. and to think there were rumours going around at one point that john cena would play dutch in a predator remake. a horrible horrible thought. actually, the only half-decent wwe film i've seen was the condemned with stone cold, even though it was about as original as a pair of IVIKE socks.

Wait are the WWE actually making those films? or just staring the WWE actors you mean?

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Wow thats crazy. Not the worst idea in the world for making money though, given the Rock's success or whatever you want to call it.

yeah, i think vince mcmahon got an executive production credit on the scorpion king, and i think it all went ahead from there. mr. kennedy was in behind enemy lines 3 i believe. vince is a maniac - the guy can't get enough cash.

it's kinda weird though that while the actual wwe has been turned to watered down bloodless PG crap, the films are quite brutal still. long gone are the days of suburban commando, no holds barred and mr. nannny.

Fantastic Mr. Fox: 6/10
Not really sure how I feel about this one. I enjoyed the visuals of it (animation was top-notch) and the voice acting was very good. But somehow the story, or at least pace didn't feel right. It wasn't boring or hard to watch, but I didn't feel much of a connection either.

So worth the watch, but not a movie I'll likely watch again or ever need to own.

i felt exactly the same. something about it just didn't work. maybe the animated characters couldn't pull off the subtlety for wes anderson's style. the expressions of his actors are always so minimal but in animated form you don't even see those. i'm not sure - but i definitely agree. something just made me watch it quite passively (by that i don't mean usually i get up, scream at characters, smack the TV, and fling my poo at the screen).

3:10 To Yuma: 10/10 Probably one of my favorite westerns. Both Russell Crowe and Christian Bale are awesome in this film! :rock :rock :rock

That's a perfect way to describe it... it was a passive viewing experience. Unlike other animated films like films like Up or Spirited Away, or even other Wes Anderson film.

Pretty much sums it up for me too and I'm going to go with you on the 6/10. Mostly because I thought the visuals were fresh and something different then all the animated films we get nowadays.

What else......ah.

Legion - 5/10.
There just really isn't anything good about this movie and my interest was peaked going into it. Failed on pretty much all accounts except for the old woman in the diner...she is still wicked.

For anyone who's ever seen this movie...do they EVER say why they don't want the baby to be born? What the baby's purpose in life is? I'm not uber religious so maybe I'm missing something here but I never once heard them say anything about why they were fighting over it coming into the world.

Valentine's Day - 6/10.
Not bad for a chick flick and loaded with actors. I just felt like some of the performances were mailed in and a little campy.

Justice League: Crisis On Two Earths - 9/10.
I'm more of a Marvel guy but I like the core DC characters and I've of course also watched all the animated films to date 'cause I dig 'em! :yess:. That said I really enjoyed this one. Action packed, story gets told quickly, and the animation seemed a notch above the previous attempts. Something about the color and overall thought that went into the fight scenes impressed me.

I didn't love the voice casting for Batman and Superman. It was passable but not as good as they've done in the past and that's why I'm knocking it down from a perfect score. Bring on the Red Hood!

The Road: 8/10
Really liked this movie. Yes, its slightly depressing but thats the story: Finding hope when all is in despair. Visually brilliant and Viggo is fantastic as always! Scene that really got me was when Viggo has the gun in the boys mouth when he thinks they're about to be captured and the boy cries saying "What will I see?!" Just a powerful scene that made me want to tear up.

Between The Road and The Proposition Hillcoat will be a director I will be watching.

So incredibly powerful, and scenes with fathers and their sons get me everytime - Road to Perdition, The Mist, etc. :monkey2
