Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Ip Man was very cool. That 10 on 1 fight is a re-watch in slo-mo scene from hell.

I watched "Man on Fire", the Denzel Washington flick from about 6 years ago. Pretty solid film, probably a 7/10. It might have borrowed a bit too much from "Leon the Professional" but it was still better than 'Book of Eli' which had a lot of problems IMHO.

Toy Story 3 10/10

The most perfect ending to the most awesome trilogy :thud:

Mr. Potato Head: It was cold and dark, nothing but sand and a couple of Lincoln Logs.

Hamm: Eh... I don't think those were Lincoln Logs.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

I got a special screening to this movie.

I was expecting for a fast-paced, loud, and a mean in-your-face movie. But what I got was a much slower-paced, yet deep, character developed, well-woven story... in fact, if they sped it up and brought the action up a few notches this movie would have been phenomenal. This should have been much faster paced.

I will say there was loads of potential here with the cast and the character development. Just missed on the premise of being another bad ass flick... ala a Crank or Running Scared, but definitely worth a first view. The only thing I would have changed beyond that is the title. Faster is not an appropriate name for this movie.

7 out of 10.

To catch up with a few movies I have seen and can remember...

Due Date - 6 out of 10

Case 39 - 5 out of 10

Megamind in 3D - 7 out of 10

Saw 3D - 0 out of 10 / Worst movie I have seen in a long time.

Unstoppable - 8 out of 10

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Crazy Heart: 9 / 10.

One of the hallmarks of a great movie is the ability to take a topic or subject matter that is alien or uninteresting to a viewer and make it interesting. I don't listen to country music and have no interest in it, but this movie is one of the best I've seen this year. While I know the country music angle is just a backdrop to the human element of the film, both Jeff Bridges and Colin Farrell did an excellent job singing in the film. The Academy Awards this movie won were well deserved. The original music is excellent, and though I am no country music fan, I'm buying the soundtrack from iTunes. And the Best Actor award for Jeff Bridges was well deserved; he's a great actor who can go from playing a corporate suit / baddie as Obediah Stane in Iron Man to country singer Bad Blake in Crazy Heart. Can't wait to see him in Tron Legacy and the Coen Brother's True Grit.
