The Town that Dreaded Sundown - 5/10

Not a great movie, but an interesting watch as a Friday the 13th fan as this story was obviously the inspiration for Jason from Part 2.

Did you watch this on dvd? Ive been looking for this movie for a while...and just kinda forgot about it.

Due Date - 7/10

Funny, but not as funny as I thought it would be. Still a good movie though.

Happy Feet 2 - 7/10

- I liked the songs & it did have some funny moments. Pitt & Damon were hilarious though. Robin Williams was awesome as always. :monkey3

Don't Be Afraid of the Dark - 6/10. Mediocre at best, really needed a stronger actor than Pearce as the father. I've enjoyed him in period films, but here he seemed flat. Story was predictable, but I liked the creature designs and I particularly loved the house interiors and gardens. I just wish they'd done something a bit more unique with them.

Win Win: 7.5/10
Pretty good overall. Nothing too dramatic or intense. Just a simple indie dramedy with great performances.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

I did some digging and thankfully "Planes" (the Cars/Cars 2 spinoff movie focusing on airplanes) appears to be a direct to DVD movie, and even produced by DisneyToons Studios and not Pixar.

Here's the wiki entry:
Planes is an upcoming direct-to-video spin-off of Cars. Pixar Animation Studios however, will not be producing the film. Instead, it will be produced by DisneyToon Studios. It is set to be released on DVD and Blu-ray in the Spring of 2013.

Although Pixar isn't producing the film, John Lasseter, being in charge of both Disney and Pixar, will be one of the producers.[1]

Lasseter had this to say about the film:

We had such a great time exploring the world of Cars over the course of two films, so it seemed only natural for us to see where our imaginations would take us in a film where planes were the main characters. By expanding the Cars world, Planes gave us a whole new set of fun-filled situations and a great opportunity to introduce some fantastic new characters. The team at DisneyToon Studios has done such an amazing job creating a heartfelt story filled with great comedy, adventure, and emotion. I know audiences are going to love taking off into the wild blue yonder with these daredevil characters, as they experience a whole new kind of animated adventure.[2]

On August 20, 2011 at the D23 Expo it was announced that Jon Cryer will be the voice of the main protagonist Dusty.

TBH this is how Cars 2 should have been released, straight to DVD through Disney.

Unstoppable: 7/10

A very straightforward action/suspense movie about a runaway train, an evil corporation, and heroic Denzel Washington and Chris Pine
saving the day
. The suspense was done very well, though. This is one wifeys and girlfriends would probably enjoy as well as guys IMO.

Girl with the Dragon Tattoo 8/10. Huge improvement over the swedish version. Great atmosphere, excellent acting, especially by Rooney, and the best opening credits I've seen in ages. Can't wait for the next!

Fright Night (2011) 7/10

enjoyable enough if ultimately forgettable.

The Guard 9/10

Very funny. Though you probably have to be Irish for a lot of the humour.
