4. Routh and the action were great. The overall plot and a return to a "Hackman" Luthor brought it waaayy down for me though. I was hoping for, ya know, a comic book based Luthor. But I blame the director for it all.

Likewise thought it was about a 7. Really liked it, but of course if could have been better. It was a bit slow in the beginning, but that is to be expected when reinventing a movie franchise.

Brandon Routh is a great Superman, and thought the rest of the cast was very good, EXCEPT for Kate Bosworth. She barely looks to be 21, and thought her performance was severely lacking.

I gave it a 10. even without an action packed fight sequence, it was still "epic" in my eyes.

The next one will!!

(It was almost epic for me,but i still had a good time at the theater. And i still watch it on DVD but the replay value kills the final score for me.I love watching the intro more and more though:cool:LOVE THAT SPACE **** )

I have it on Bluray and it's a gorgeous film. I absolutely love the cinematography of it.

The whole airplane sequence makes up for any lack of fight scenes imo. Just an unparralelled scene that blows me away everytime I watch it. Not to mention it incorporates CK ripping off his shirt to expose the supersuit for the first time in decades.

9 for me.

A very sentimental look at the type of hero you just don't see anymore in these jaded times. The scene of Superman hovering above the Earth with the Jor-El voice over gives me chills every time.

I'll be watching it for the first time in HD when the blu-ray disc gets here tues.

I was incredibly disappointed by Superman Returns. I saw it in the theaters and tried to give it another try on BluRay but turned it off after 15 minutes.

They set up a great question "Does the Earth Need A Superman?" but they never really answered it. Why did they never get into Lois article?

Kevin Spacey was a huge disappointment and really brought nothing to the table.

The whole thing felt stiff and lifeless as opposed to having any real life. It felt like a dress rehearsal or a rough draft as opposed to a real movie - interesting ideas but I wish they would have grabbed one and followed it.

Brandon was quite good though and would love to see him get another shot under different circumstances.

I was hoping for something much more than a remake of the first Reeve movie. I couldn’t believe they use the same plot and a lot of the same dialog from the first movie. Instead of being original they went with a safe money maker tying to cash in on nostalgia.

And all the pining over Lois and having Superman spying on her home life, It seemed like a bad love sick teen movie.

However I did like the cast, I hope they get to do a more original plot next time.

I like the imagery of the movie...

I especially loved the scenes were superman is contempating in space, or hearing the voice of his dead father speak to him in his mind.

I gave it a 9, I really enjoyed the film. I thought the lack of a ton of action scenes was slightly disapointing. I understand they needed to tell the story of him leaving and coming back, as well as some of the stuff that happend while he was gone.

I absolutely cannot wait for the next and hope they introduce a new villian that can give Supes a tough fight without the use of kryptonite.

I gave it a 9. I loved the movie and I thought Singer did a great job. I only wish there was more action in terms of Superman pounding the crap out of someone....:D Still liked it though....much better than X3 or Spidy 3.

ditto. :D :D

I give it a seven. It was very solid, but had room for improvement. I though Routh was excellent as Superman. He gets a 10. As do the HT figures. :rock

And yes, a very topical poll. :D
