LOK Blood omen 2: If it was a stand alone game 6/10 as part of a story... 6/10.

Cons: Simon Templeman as Kain again = top notch. But there really wasnt too much dialogue in this game, theres a few speeches here and there but not enough. It kind of feels like they could only afford to hire him for half the time he did in the other games.

There wasnt really any memorable music at all.

Badd enemy designs. The Hylden sucked. Especially the Sarafan/Hylden lord.

Combat sucked sucked HARD. Hit detection was terrible, you can be swiping through enemys and yet miss them. But they can always hit you. Later in the game you just find yourself stood blocking attacks so you can use a special back at them.

Pro's :

The game is surprisingly alot longer than i remembered. Its by far the biggest LOK game. the levels are really long, and theres a good amount of levels. The settings are also really nice. The towns really feel like Nosgoth(or Victorian britain, same thing). The prison was like a level right out of Soul Reaver.

The blood sucking+lore was strangely addictive. Killing anything you find just to fill up your lore closer to the " level up" mark.

Ultimately it added nothing to the franchise. Well, we got to first hand meet and fight the Hylden who were made up to be a BIG deal. Turned out to be some of the worst enemies in any game.

I dont think it matters if you have ever played a LOK game or if you start with this one its very self contained and there is background added to each character through dialogue so you get the gist of them.

On to defiance now.

Just finished Arkham Asylum. Great game. I liked Arkham City a little more but really enjoyed AA as well. I liked seeing the batmobile, batcave, and batwing in the game. Also liked seeing Scarecrow play a part in the game. I thought he looked fantastic. I'd give AA a 9/10.

The Walking Dead and the 400 days dlc.

Eh, whatever. I guess I'll put it in my top 10 favorite games of all time.

10/10..... Now need season 2 Telltale!!!!!!!!!

I just finished Killzone:Mercenary on the Vita. Easily my favorite Vita game now. The graphics are really impressive for a handheld game, and IMO plays better than the console Killzones. The additional contracts are going to add a lot of replay value for me, and I feel many nights are going to be spent trying to perfect them.

I tried a couple rounds of MP last night, but I don't think they have it streamlined yet so I'll probably avoid it for a while (servers might be lagging or something because it takes a while to find a match, and I got kicked many times for some reason).

Sorry yeah Diablo 3, thanks for noticing that and sorry to get you excited for a D2 console release :)

Currently working on Last of Us (PS3)

Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain.

It pains me to do it but 7/10

Just finished it for the first time. It came out 17 years ago, and i played it then but never got too far in to it. Well at the time i thought i did. But having actaully completed it id only gotten about 1/5 in to the game. Its the longest LOK game by farrrr. It took me 30+ hours to complete the campaign and i had only unlocked 19/100 secrets. And i wasnt even trying to rush it, i was trying to do all the side missions.

It loses 3 points from being a top tier game for 3 reasons ( a point each).

1) Graphics/play style. Its a shame im rating it now when games are as they are. But the battles were just not as fun as other games in the series had been. Due to the top down view.
2) Music, this is both a plus and a minus. The music is great. Why is it a minus? Because some of the tracks are about 90 seconds and if you are in an area for more it loops, but in a " song ending, song starting again" way. Which can ruin the mood.
3) guidance. There was some parts of this game where i was stuck, to the point i literally didnt even have the means on me to progress. And i was never told what i needed. 2 key points were with a Boss battle i needed a special sword i didnt even know existed so had to backtrack a ton to find the secretly hidden area on the map and do the secret puzzle to get it. And again, a certain area it makes you think you can turn to " mist" to pass by but you cant. You need a spell, you never got told u needed or even existed and you only find out through guides because you need to do a ton of backtracking to an area you never of even thought you needed to go.

Completed all 5 LOK games now. Blood Omen for the first time, the rest multiple in the past. So i will rank on what i think. And its going to be purely on story not gameplay as its a bit unfair on earlier games

1) Soul reaver.
2) Defiance
3) Blood Omen
4) Soul Reaver 2
5) Blood Omen 2

Gone Home - 9/10

A 1st person point and click adventure where you play as a young woman trying to solve the mystery of her family's disappearance. Probably one of the most engrossing experiences I've ever had this gen and it's all over in 2 hours.

Now off to finishing GTAV! :yess:

In the last few months:

Bioshock Infinite 10/10 - I never finished BS1 got bored, this was a masterpeice though. Art direction/story/gameplay a real gem.

The Last of Us 10/10 - Same reasons i gave Bioshock infinite a 10.

Crysis 3 5/10 - Was bored after the second level but forced myself to finish. What really irks me about the crysis series is the non exsistant story. And the hollow gameplay. But hey the graphics are great.

Was playing GTA 5...but have been consumed with the Battlefield 4 beta.
