The thing that I like about this is there are tons of ways to pose him, and it's hard to find 2 poses a like.

#425 arrived about an hour ago. Man, this is without a doubt, the most time I have ever spent setting up and displaying a statue. In the end though...I LOVE HOW THIS PF LOOKS! It's absolutely fantastic. QC was top notch and he looks devastatingly good next to my EX Red Skull PF. It sure takes a considerable amount of futzing to get this piece looking the way you want but when you're done, you have an amazing PF. This piece turned out great and I finally have the menacing standing 1/4 Doom statue I was always hoping for. Hats off to SSC for delivering a great Dr. Doom for our collections.

The greens look different in some pics, different lighting/color correction?

I like that the Red Skull and Dr. Doom have wired capes/coats for posing while my hero PFs have sculpted capes. I wonder, if they do a Magneto PF, if it will be wired or sculpted, since the cape would probably be the only mixed media part unless they go fabric with his red non-armored clothing.

I do like how the cape is adjustable on Doom. However, I do think I would have liked a sculpted cape for the piece. Batman and Superman's cape look incredible and there is no futzing involved. Either way, I'm happy with the way Doom turned out.

Agree.. If they can make the cape on Bat and Sup lighter, it will be perfect, but no pvc hahaha

Have a long day at work tomorrow. So I just wanted to get him together and on the shelve. Still have some fussing to do with the cape and hood. I'm very pleased with him.

The statue itself looks stunning. But i'm really bothered by the hood and cape. It looks like one of those capes with pointed hoods worn by the hobbits in the lord of the rings. I guess with good fussing it might look way better than whats shown in the pics.

I think it can be futzed around to look nice, I have an image in my mind of how I want mine to be displayed.

On a slightly off topic note, has anyone read DoomWar and is it worth a purchase?

I agree you NAILED the cape look. Absolutely love what you did there. Sounds weird, but how you display the cape I think is what sets this one apart. That cape steals the show.
