There are no close ups of the mask/face paint or the base. Those are the two things that looked the worst in those early in-hand pics. I'm crossing my fingers for you guys that ordered. Hope this turns out nice for you all.

Agreed. It'll take some work, but those photos look great. A lot better than the in-hand pic that was posted before. I'd mimic this to a "t". Love the change-o-hand with gun.

I'm so looking forward to this piece. The production pics have completely sold me on it. Doom looks fantastic. I'll finally have what I want after all these years...a great looking 1/4 standing Doom statue.

Dr. Doom is one of my favorite Marvel villains of all-time. They need a solo film just to depict him properly and establish him as the OP beast that he is, and then bring in the four.
He's just a guy who's seen the future and wants to save the world, after all.... 
But I'm still interested in seeing Marvel's Ultimate Fantastic Four movie coming out soon, regardless of what I think about it now thru trailers/spots. Love the FF4 comics, and if they fail, hopefully fox will return let Disney's Marvel take a run at it in the MCU.

I feel like starting a small Marvel villains collection now, since I have the Red Skull EX that will be out of place if I get Thor and Hulk EX to go with Cap, so hopefully they make a Magneto as he will probably be my triumvirate piece.

A Mags PF is way overdue. He's my all time favorite villain. I'm super happy I was able to get the XM Mags. That piece will do just fine representing Mags in my collection. However, that doesn't excuse SSC for ignoring one of the best Marvel villains in PF form all these years. I'll even add Thanos to the list. He's another PF that's long overdue.

Just received this as well. "Just discovered!?" It's been 1000 on their site for 6 months! They're right it was originally 1,500. But they changed it to 1,000. Bait and switch.

Not really. They are giving you an option of canceling with a full refund. No one is stuck with the statue and an increased edition size. I'm definitely keeping mine. While I liked the smaller ES, this is an amazing looking Doom. I can't wait to add him to my collection.
