Wife and I just finished season 1. As has been stated by many, It was enjoyable. I know nothing about the character aside from the movies and now the first season of the series. I like the movies, and like screamingmetal I like the first movie better. It's a movie I can rewatch; unlike the second. I have the same take on the Equalizer. I haven't seen the third.
I too can see them being two different characters with the same name. Cruise does come off, to me, as a better actor. I don't know much about this Ritchson. He does have moments where he does look like Frankenstein's monster; not just his acting. Perhaps that's how he was advised to play the roll. Based on the replies here it seems that's how the character is in the books. Not all, but for the most part the supporting cast was great. I guess he's got to move on like the Hulk. Will definitely see the second season and most likely the third.

Good start to season 3. This show is exactly like the books. You can’t put it down trash lol. There are a lot of dumb plot holes here but I can’t help but love the big lug. Ritchson is such perfect casting and I can’t wait to see him go full Reacher on Pauly.

Just started season three and I already HATE the actress playing the FBI lady. HAAATE her. She's obnoxious as hell. This might turn an otherwise enjoyable series into a slog to get through. She's thoroughly unlikable....why would they cast her and make her act this way?

I think what's throwing it for me I think she is doing an accent which isn't helping

It seems like just about every series I watch these days has that one awful character that brings the whole show down.

I was getting into Homeland recently and had to stop watching because I couldn't stand the main character dude's daughter anymore. She was just the worst.

I watched S1 and had no interest in watching any more, but since the wait between Severance episodes was getting too long, I decided to watch S2...
This show isn' terribly good is it? It's almost too dumb to be fun, but I' committed now and I will watch it to the end.
