Is there a trade that depicts this even occuring...?

Marvel hasn't done one yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did once Planet Hulk ends and World War Hulk begins.

Here's some information about this storyline:

One thing that seems to be missing on this site is that Hulk, the Thing and the Human Torch fought near Las Vegas in Fantastic Four 533-535 which led them to come up with the idea of getting rid of the Hulk.

Hulk has about as much need for that gear as Professor X has for an afro pick. Other than that, looks promising.

Nice cover. Please dont buy the Iron Man cartoon its sucks so bad I fell asleep during all the horrid dialogue. In fact the preview for the Dr. Strange series looked more interesting than the entire Iron Man cartoon. Whoever decided to give this a greenlight seriously needs to have his head removed by the repulsar beam!!!

So who's ready for this.....?

Black Hole General: Banner! WHAT is best in LIFE?

Hulk: To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women.

Black Hole General: Excellent! Have you ever been to a Turkish Prison? DO you like movies about gladiators? Have you ever been in a ****...pit before?

Hulk: What???

Black Hole General: Nevermind, Banner! on my command, unleash Hulk Smash!

Hulk: HULK SMASH! HULK SMASH! HULK SMASH!

Okay, I am going to be the devil's advocate here. The Illuminati were RIGHT in what they did. The Hulk was uncontrollable, and a danger to everyone on the planet. Even Banner knew that. How many times has Banner tried to kill himself only to have Hulk stop him? The only reason Hulk ended up on Sakaar instead of the lush planet (with animals and plant life, but no sentient life) the Illuminati tried to send him to, was because he destroyed the shuttle and threw it off course. However, Sakaar turned out to be a perfect fit for him. If the Planet Hulk story ends with him Emperor of a planet that worships him ... and he comes back here just for revenge ... and puts countless innocent lives at risk ... he is official the villain. Maybe not Maestro level, but damn close.

As for the reason he has the weapons, he needed them on Sakaar. He was greatly weakened by the trip through the void that teleported him there. One can only assume that he would again be weakened by traveling back to our world. In fact, I think that a permanent or semi-permanent power drain would be good for the future of the character. Now, now, I don't mean turn him into a weakling. Just tone him down from Superman, unstoppable level. Heck, the main reason I have enjoyed the Planet Hulk story line is he was finally in a position where mindless smashing was useless. He got his arse handed to him many times before he realized that. Watching him adapt and conquer Sakaar is what made the story interesting. I think it would be interesting to see a weakened Hulk have to deal with and adapt to a power lose on Earth.

Oh ... flashback ... that reminds me so much of the Twisted Toyfare skit of Xavier in High School winning the dancing contest. So funny.

I think thats exactly what the writers have in mind for WWH. We wont know in fact if he's a hero or a monster till the end of WWH.

That I really dont want, Douglas...The Hulk character is all about Power, immense boiling Power and rage. That would kill the appeal of the character to me.

Sorry Shai, but after seeing what Hulk is capable of when he uses strategy on Sakaar in order to compensate for his power loss ... the Hulk character is now more interesting than he has been in years. When he comes back to Earth, I have a feeling the writers will just slowly reverse him back to Hulk Smash ... sigh.
