The game is very well done. For the scale the graphics are amazing. The online game play needs to be tweeked. Alot of people keep getting kicked from servers and stuff dissapears like your horse and guns. Overall great game.

the game froze on me during the load to the first duel. Had finished a mission for the sherrif, then decided to duel the random guy. Screen fades to black then freeze. when I go back there after reloading the guy is gone.

anyone figure out the treasure map? do you need a shovel or something? I think i'm where i need to be near the hanging rock but i don't see anything. i saved the guy being hung from a tree. that was sweet.

Yeah, I found that. There's a bunch of rocks on the ground, covering the chest, you just have to go near it. At first I was trying to get at it from the wrong side, then I saw the rocks and got at it from the opposite side. Just hit the button to investigate it.

I think the servers are being overloaded. I tried to re-enter my Deadly Assassin code (apparently, it's borked) and got the message that it couldn't find the server.

There's a RockstarSupport rep answering questions over at the IGN boards, and apparently the DA outfit ha issues. I've done everything for the outfit, but Mo Van Barr's Wanted poster won't show up. I've "tracked" the outfit, I've done 3 bounty hunts, and now I've been running around for 2 real hours doing other things and no more bounties show up.

Great - I'm glad you finally got that poster for Mo Van Barr! We're looking into this issue as well to see if there is any reason why Mo Van Barr wouldn't show up right away.

Does the map have a noose on the right hand side of it?? If so, then we're talking about the same place. If you go to the Hanging Rock, there's a small gap, that's what the map is showing. If you go to that gap, and look down, there should be a chest with rocks piled on top of it.

At first, I went to the wrong side of the gap, but then I saw the rock pile on the other side of the Hanging Rock.

It does seem to have a Fallout vibe at this point but it might be because of the local.
Steering horses at high speed is a pain.
I need to learn how to play Texas hold'em.
Im not going to venture out far from the ranch until I get the mechanics and controls down solid.
Ran a few guys on horseback off the road,whoopsies.
Tough to discern who the bad guys are right off the bat in an encounter unless you wait for them to shoot first.
But so far pretty kewl.

Yeah. It's fun stuff. I can target the limb I want to shoot with dead eye. Bounty hunting is where it's at.

Didn't get to play this for too long today, but what little I did, I LOVED. There is so much to do in this game, I felt like a kid in a candy store. Looking forward to putting in some good time on this one.

I got my copy of the game today at work at Best Buy. I entered the code for the exclusive "War Horse", but I don't know where to go in the game to find the horse! Anyone else pre-order the game at Best Buy like I did, and has FOUND the War Horse and is riding it now?

I also picked up the huge strategy guide for the game. Very nice! It has everything in it. It's made by BradyGames. Here's the link to the guide at their website:

I'd like to get them, and I was hoping they'd be there today. Has anyone out there that got their game at Best Buy got the cards? If you have, please post a picture of them in this thread. I work at Best Buy, and I have not seen them yet. Thanks!

Oh yeah...this game is incredible! I have got into the storyline a few missions, and I love it! The open wild west is so cool. I'm learning how to ride the horse. It's a challenge, and hunting for animals helps raise some money quick too. I'm playing the "good guy" route like I usually do in games like this. Now...if I can just find that dang War Horse!

I preordered the game at Best Buy as well. My War Horse worked fine until i shot it in the head by accident. if you enter the code in right it should say Downloaded conted then under that it should say War Horse. If you whistle for it it should come running up to you.

My horse keeps running in the way when I'm in the middle of a firefight, I've shot him in the head four or five times now. The instructions say that your horse grows accustomed to you with time, so it's kind of a lost investment if your horse dies. I just restart when I kill my horse.

I must be doing something wrong. When I try to put in the code for the War Horse, it says that I can't access the Rockstar server to get the download.
