i have a random question and i can not find an answer on the intrewebs. where the hell are the marshals in the outfitter? i read they might be glitched and i read that R* is going to release a social event called "i shot the sheriff" where if you do the "quest" you get the Marshal section unlock for the multiplayer characters. has anyone heard anything about them?

Would the Marshals not fall under the "Lawmen" heading? It's also possible they don't get unlocked until the later levels. My guy's at level 16 right now, and I have yet to unlock a single "Legends" skin.

If we get 6 people, we could do the stagecoach of death. Two drivers and four passengers, all armed to the teeth. Too much fun. :gun

I'm up for that! I'll save your gamertag to my Xbox LIVE friends list. Is it the same as it is here "El Skutto"?

Mine is the same. JediMike71 here, and JediMike71 on Xbox LIVE. :)

na supposedly there is a marshals heading for the us marshals skins and from the little bit i have found it is either glitched or will be available after completing the social network quest "i shot the sheriff" my guy is 43 atm and i have all the lawmen unlocked. the legends skins require you to prestige past 50 and go 1-50 all over again. :( they dont take your char or titles just your mounts and guns, but you get buffalo and a bull for prestiging

Well, it's been one week and still no Deadly Assassin outfit. Everyone else is riding around on their War Horses, and shooting off their Golden Guns. . . but still no Deadly Assassin outfit.

I went in to Gamestop the other day, and the employees were playing CYA saying "Mo Van Barr is the last bounty listed in the strategy guide so you don't get the outfit till the end of the game" and "It's good that you don't get it until the end because it's a really overpowered outfit". And I replied, "I emailed Rockstar and they admitted it's a glitch and they're working on fixing it". Gamestop employees' response "Oh. . . " I don't know what it is with Gamestop employees, but every time I go in there, the way they talk, it's like they've never heard of the Internet and don't realize that people talk about stuff outside of their store. They didn't even know what other stores had pre-order stuff.

I got the deadly assassin outfit like two days having the game. The bounty was found in Armadillo. They are just random and I am no where near the end of the game... Gamestop employees are dumb. Really dumb. They know squat about the wares they are peddling.

I hate Gamestop - sadly, I now have to go to them since GameCrazy is closing. :monkey2

But to the point, I am sporting the Deadly Assassin's outfit now...and I'm only about 1/3 of the way through the game. And yep, I got the bounty for Mo Van Barr in Armadillo as well. I think I had probably done about 4 or 5 bounties in Amardillo before it showed up.

Don't know what the gamestop guys meant about it being an "overpowering" outfit. :cuckoo: It speeds up your dead eye meter but that's about it. It's cool looking...but hardly overpowering. :lol

There must be a reason why it's showing up for some people and not others. I've "tracked" the outfit. I've already started a new game once the "glitch" was found out. I've saved right before new bounty was posted and reloaded that save 6 or 7 times to try and spawn Barr's poster. I must've done 11 bounties or so by now.

Guys, I restarted the game from the beginning..I take it the story unfolds as you play? I mean, the opening is a train with a bunch of people talking, then you start off in Armadillo....am I missing anything? If not for the back of the box, you would know nothing about a storyline with a wife/kids being threatened?

Yes, AmanaMatt. The story unfolds as you play and progress through the game. Just like it did in all of the Grand Theft Auto games that Rockstar has made. You have the choice of playing one mission after the other that progresses the game...or....roaming around and doing the side missions. Taking your time to play everything in the game, and enjoying it like I am. But, it's your decision, and all up to you how you play the game.

Guys, I'm having trouble doing the "hogtie" with the lasso rope. I am doing the mission helping that "nut" Seth get the other guy that has the other part of the treasure map. I rope the guy, and then go up to him. It says to hit my "B" button on my Xbox 360 controller to "hogtie" him. But when I hit the "B" button the lasso comes off! :dunno Anyone know why? PLEASE help me out here! Thanks! :)

I got it. I am supposed to hit the yellow "Y" button to "hogtie". Not the red "B" button. I could barely see it on the lower-right side of my TV screen. I got it now.

The GTA games usually start with the character just arriving to the town, country or getting out of prison and starting 'fresh'. this title seems more story driven...while my question may have seemed a simplistic one, I wanted to be sure....

Thanks

Okay, yeah I remember how GTA 4 started with Nico Bellick that way. Red Dead Redemption starts out like that too, but then you can go into the first mission pretty easily. Good luck! It's an incredible game, and already has my vote for GAME OF THE YEAR! :yess: :)

Yeah and always leave the firebutton that aims the lasso pressed, whichever button that might be on the 360. LT I'm guessing.

And I got the Deadly Assassin Outfit just by playing the game really. I had no idea how any of that worked, I was just playing and doing bountys and hunting and all that, and I unlocked it.
