There's the link to the trailer for the "short film" coming on your local FOX station later tonight. I live in the Central time zone in Louisiana, so it'll be on at 11:00pm for me. I can't wait to see it!

Here's a quote from Rockstar's facebook page for the RDR short film:

"Saturday, May 29th at Midnight Eastern and Pacific (check local listings), FOX will be exclusively airing an original short film made from Red Dead Redemption. Watch the trailer for the 30 minute short film, and be sure to tune in at Midnight Eastern & Pacfic to FOX to see the short film."

For anyone in the UK who won't see the Fox movie it's on UK TV tonight (Sat 30th May 2010) on channel Five USA.

Red Dead Redemption: The Man from Blackwater will air on June 5th at 11.25pm exclusive on Five USA. The 30 minute short film, created and directed by John Hillcoat (the director of The Proposition and The Road), chronicles a slice-in-time of protagonist John Marston as he tracks down his former fellow outlaw and friend, Bill Williamson. Along the way, Marston encounters many of Red Dead Redemption's eclectic cast of dreamers, misfits and liars.


Using the world of Red Dead Redemption as a virtual film studio and created entirely with in-game assets and technology, John Hillcoat re-imagines Marston's pursuit of justice and salvation.

Oh man! I just killed two cougars, and skinned them, and a third cougar snuck up on me and killed me!

That's some really sneaky cats! Be on the lookout for them.

Has anyone completed the california stranger stuff and got the treasure hunter scrap?

This was one of the last stranger missions I did. I just never found the guy earlier. If you're curious where he is, he is next to a rock near one of the roads at the bottom of the purple circle on your map when you track the outfit. Wow that was a long sentence.

I got the legendary outfit last night and I realized that I don't really use the deadeye often.

In real life not so remarkable, in a freeroam vid game its unusual.

At one point in this game, i got a bunch of stuff done and was on my way to save and i ride by a bunch criminals robbing some chicks carriage and they blast me dead off my horse instantly before i can engage them lol!.

Another time, i was trying to help a woman being chased by cougars and ended up shooting my horse i was riding in the back of the neck and wiping out.

This game is great fun.

^^ DUDE, I got jacked by a half naked hooker who was hitch hiking! I took out my carbine and blew her away from a distance of about a half mile! then I looted her, talked some smack, and roll'd away lol

One time I had ridden up onto the railroad tracks high above a cliff so I could drop the guy over the side--just for fun--after I took the tied up guy off my horse the horse walked off the tracks and broke it's neck. Stupid horse.


Hope the short movie tonight is good. I wonder if they'll have it up on gametrailers

It's 12:30 here in Central time and there's some American idol Rewind crap on. I think I missed it unfortunately.

I watched it and recorded it. It was made up of some, not all of the cut scenes from the game up to the end of the Fort Mercer storyline mission. I thought it was good. But from playing the game, I could tell some scenes were missing due to the 30 minute time limit FOX gave them. Overall it was cool to see it on TV. I'm sure it drew more attention to this incredible game by TV viewers that haven't played it...yet.
