I don't want to collect action figures. They are toys. I would much rather collect statues (art).

Just my opinion.

493 here turned out great

FREAKY! :rock

Can't focus as I'm distracted by all the great statues around them :lol

Congrats on the ones who got this awesome piece already. Tried calling sideshow a bunch of times yesterday to ask if they would charge my final payment now and every option I picked the call would just end. Lame. I'll try again on Monday. I can't wait till the 25th for the charge and then September to actually get it.

I'm glad I got him both portraits turned great. I was hoping the coat was removable because I wanted to do gestapo with his coat over his shoulders.

@Jye318 man there both killer statues. I'm going ex portrait because I also have the OG red skull with his mighty pimp cane but the cosmic cube is pretty dupe too

Got here yesterday, he is awesome, no problems to report. Congrats to everyone who got him.

That ex head makes me want to settle down, and be a better man. That's how awesome it is.

Very nice. You got the coat posed looking pretty good. I messed with mine for honestly like an hour and finally got it looking just right. Covered the pants on the sides just enough to hide the folds and the top opened enough to see the Hydra logo. I knew I was gonna love this a lot since seeing it last year. And little sculpt so no QC issues for everyone. That's a relief

I collect BOTH. I really dig 1/6 figs because I can customize and pose them, and for their scale, the likenesses are the best around (Hot Toys)

But I also appreciate statues as ART, and they definitely have a longer shelf life and accumulate more value in the long run due to Exclusives and edition sizes.

but a crappy paint job can really **** up a statue :rotfl

I've got a good friend that collects figures. They look great. I just think the 1/4 scale statues have much more presence in a room compared to 2-3 figures (comparable price I figured 1 statue is 2-3 figures).

I didn't intend to talk down on statues. Think they are cool. Hot toys likeness is really good. Just not my cup of tea.

Yeah. Bad paint apps can ruin any collectible though. Prop, statue, figure etc.
