Thanks for sharing all those pics! Now I'm getting a mix of Michelle Monaghan and Natalie Dormer on the face sculpt

She looks out of this world amazing but I've learned my lesson and will not order/buy any Sideshow figure until it has been released and I have seen in hand production pictures. The edition size nowadays is so big it won't sell out.
This really is tempting though and I hate to stray too far from the specific lines I collect for...

Can't blame you for it. I might actually do the same thing. Wait for the final product pics before I order. The sculpt is superb, but we can only wish that the paint would be as we see it now.

Sideshow artist always doing amazing job on proto , I doubt workers in china can do that as well
I'd imagine the EX selling out well before they ship(unless there is a crazy high ES)

Oh chances are, yes. I seldom see the EX still available months after being up for PO. I'm good to wait though, as I can't get the EX (unless I'm willing to spend about $700-800 for the EX version)
Would be a real bummer however if the EX is just as wonderful as the previous Sonja's.

I kind of regreted that I never got to order the Red Sonja EX, but after seeing this piece I don't mind anymore. The first one is still good, but I think this is much better! Now I just have to order the new Conan PF so I can display both of them together. *sigh expensive*

All things I don't think will translate into the production.... which worries me.
We won't get the detail on the blood splatter and a lot of that "fresh kill" look will probably go away as well.
All I could live with if the face stay close to this. SS!

I understand, and agree, Sideshow can have huge issues with their production pieces over prototypes.
First reveal, first day and you're convinced they can't pull this off? Come on.
Have you seen early production pictures of Machiko? Looks stunning.
Only, slight, issue I can see is the eyes.

I think a lot of us are right there with you. This Red Sonja pretty much sums up why a lot of us stick with Sideshow to some degree or another. It also is a perfect example that awesome things can come from this hobby when proper care is put into a project. Very well done Sideshow!
