Rei and Asuka have arrived!!!

Just picked up Asuka from Adam. The Rei had a couple of issues so I have to wait for a replacement, but I took a good look at her. These figures are fantastic!!!! I have been very selective with the Medicom figures and other than the Super Deformed Star Wars figures (now called VCD for Vinyl Collectible Dolls) the only other 12" Medicom figure I have ordered was the Symbiote Spider-Man. He arrived this week as well! I still am going to be selective because of the price of these things, but man, it is going to be harder now that I have some in my hands!!!

The Asuka is just a beautiful figure and Medicom did a darn good job turning 2D animation into a 3D figure! The plug suit fits like a glove (just like on the show ) and is an amazing work of art! I'm still trying to figure out how they got it on the figure??? Unless they sewed it up after it was on! If any of you guys were on the fence, find a retailer that has these and get them quick!!!!

How about the pictures, Lonnie? I'm desperately waiting to see those 2 figures arriving at my place, so a photo would help to get over the wait. My cc has been charged yesterday, which means that my Asuka and Rei should arrive within the next 2 weeks.

As a big Anime fan, I'm hoping that we'll see more NGE Medicom figures. I would welcome it, if Medicom did other other Anime series as well. There are so many I can think of, but here's my top 5:

- Armitage III (Poly-Matrix* and Dual-Matrix)
- Tetsuo Shima (Akira)
- 'Major' Motoko Kusanagi (Ghost in the Shell)
- Dilandau (Vision of Escaflowne)
- Deunan Knute (Appleseed)

I can't see why Medicom haven't done a Shinji Ikari yet. He's a key character! Wonder if they ever make a Pen Pen! That penguin is just to cool, wearing a portable air conditioner!

Lonnie, you illustrate perfectly why they haven't done Shinji yet! At least as far as I'm concerned! Shinji's just not a character one can fully identify with, at least not in public! Shinji ain't no Boromir, Aragorn, Luke, Han, Speed racer, Batman, or what ever hero that comes up into your mind. He's just an other teenager having trouble growing up, cursed with the ability to pilot one of those Eva monsters... Still, I like him!
