They're not likely to sell at those prices, though; I recently picked up both for $180 shipped.

Got my Evangelion store exclusive Yellow Dress Asuka yesterday, and what can I say? She's a dream. An expensive dream though... Next goal: Rei & Asuka in school gear... And hoping that Medicom will make a blue plug suit Shinji one day.

That seller 'oldballance' is always soooo freakin expensive, it's a wonder they sell anything.
Just look for other HK sellers and shop around, even with int shipping you'll save loads.

Seriously, why hasn't this been done yet? If I could have only one human figure from all of Eva, this would be it. Rei and Asuka are great, but it is a crime that there are so many variants of them and not one freakin' Shinji!

Yeah, If Medicom would concider making characters from "The Vison of Escaflowne", I know I'll be all over a Hitomi, Dilandau, Van, Merle, ... .

I've been asking that question myself. Tendou Kabuto said that Shinji isnt maketble enough which IMO is ture. You barely see any Shinji merchandise.

Yes, and why is that? Female characters are much easier to sell to a mainly male audience. It's that simple. Besides that, Shinji is not a real "hero" someone would identify himself with. Shinji is more or less a "special case"...
Still, I feel that at least a 12" blue plug suit Shinji is needed to complete the plug suited girls.

Strangely enough, the Yellow dress Asuka, and the life size talking Sumomo I bought last easter in Cologne - (if you know Sumomo, she's only about 6" high...) are the only collectibles that get some attention from the (female part of my) family. I don't have much on display, because I don't have the room for it, so I tend to display all new arrivals (statues, PF's, life size props, ...) for at least a few days, until I have checked them throughly for flaws. And hardly anybody really makes a positive remark about them (you should hear what my gf said about The Thing that arrived today...). But Yellow dress Asuka, and Sumomo kind of get the female approval. Hmm...! It's such a bore if you have close to 80 (that's an estimate, could be more) 1/6 scale figures, and non are on display... oh boy...
