Keyword is defenders, not the quality of either. Both games are clearly very bad and in 06's case, the developers have seemingly acknowledged it - I say this because Capcom confirmed they know RE6 is a failure but SEGA never made an official statement. Yet despite being clear failures, people defend BOTH. There is no reason to in 06's case, seriously. RE6...I mean it had some ideas, that's all and it was just everything around it. And a remarkably bad story.

I get that. People will always defend series that they hold close.

Mercenaries in 6 was some of the most fun I've had though in awhile. It felt really tight. I'd say that's worth the $20 price tag alone for the PS4 version.

You'll be lucky if you get $5 at GameStop for RE6.

I agree, RE6 was too ambitious but failed. Too many ideas that were overshadowed by bad ones. Felt unpolished and the bad story didn't help either. Too many characters, even though unnecessary and enemies that simply sucked.

Except that both those games nearly killed each respective franchise. well, rather people say RE would have died with 6, but I don't think that was the case. The series was far from being in a terrible place, while the Sonic franchise was reaching all time lows. I dunno people are weird. Mercenaries in RE is always great, I need to revisit RE4, and buy RE5 for its mercenaries on top of actually finishing the game off.

Indeed. RE6 tried to do way too much - four whole, relatively long campaigns with different gameplay styles? That's what kills Sonic games

They already gave her the "David Hayter Treatment" for Rev2, and I ended up not buying the game.

The culmination of my childhood meets...uh teenage years because I started RE then I guess I dunno what it is but adult zombie loonette is strangely hot

that said I would watch Zombie Loonette over The Walking Dead.

If we don't see somthing by E3 im betting probably a few years from now. RE release a new big game every 4 or 5 years.

Well they've been at it almost a full two years... we've seen Metal Gear games that early into development. I'd bet on something at E3, or TGS at the least.

Someone on the Project Umbrella forum wanted it to have both fixed and FPS cameras. **** that.

I say make two campaigns with fixed and over the shoulder **** the FPS approach, that wouldn't work for RE2.
