I was so sad to see the new trophies/achievements after the update. I was all ready and eager to try and get all the trophies, but these new ones ones messed everything up for me, because I usually don't play online multiplayer and won't DL this slayer stuff. =( =( =(

I'm not paying for this because of Capcom's greediness. It was already on the friggin disc the whole time.

I remember reading an article (on Kotaku, i think) of a Capcom PR guy trying to defend this paid rip-off as the cost of extended development after the game had been released. Now we learn that the entire download is just a 1.8 meg unlock.

Bull^^^^, Capcom.

Resident Evil 5 & Banjo DLC Now Available [Updated]
Written Tuesday, April 07, 2009 by Dan Webb

Just a heads up folks, the Resident Evil 5 and Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts DLC is now available for download on the Xbox Live Marketplace. Details on each of the two packs to follow ...

The Resident Evil 5 Versus Mode DLC will set you back 400 Microsoft Points and take up a staggering 1.86 mbs (yes, I said megabytes) of space on your hard drive.

"Versus allows up to four players to match wits in online battles across two very different game types. Slayer’s Rule is a point-based game that challenges players to kill Majinis. In Survivor’s Rule, players hunt the most dangerous game, each other! Players can begin the hunt as Chris, Sheva or other secret characters, and choose from either one-on-one or two-versus-two team matches for either of the two gameplay styles."

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts' LOG's Lost Challenges DLC will also set you back a paltry 400 Microsoft Points and will take up 80.86 mbs of disc space.

"Worried that Banjo and Kazooie may be falling back into their lazy ways, L.O.G has created a fresh series of tests and seven additional multiplayer modes for players to continue building their own distinctive vehicle creations. Although Spiral Mountain has been rightfully won, L.O.G. has an enticing reward for completing his new challenges: another version of Klungo’s Arcade game."

UPDATE: So it appears that the Resident Evil 5 DLC is currently a little bit broken so I'd hold off on paying for that bad boy just yet. I was a little suspicious when I saw the 1.8 megabyte size, but I just thought that they were selling disc content to us. Ha, that'll teach me to be cynical. We'll update you when it's working.

people dont read that part?

Either way Im not gonna get the download myself.

Any badasses at Mercenaries want to help me through some levels so I can unlock the characters?? PSN ID is SwedishHeat, just my handle over there <--- . I've been playing with a few people over the last few days, but I can't manage to get more than a B rank. I don't have a mic, if that makes any difference.

That has no standing on the final download size. It'll still be within that megabyte ballpark, which obviously is not a number that is able to hold new assets in the form of 2 new modes. In the end, what's in the final DLC was already on the disc.

Some people have downloaded it and it has worked fine for them.

yeah i was just watching some videos of people playing the modes. I was thinking they uploaded to their servers but it ended up corrupting making it a small file when it should of been a large one.

Played Versus last night for a good two hours and I didn't notice anything wrong with it at all. That being said I thought it was fun as hell!

the DLC seems to work fine for me. It's pretty fun so far, I've won one of each game type. only thing is the characters are pretty unbalanced...so its kinda wonky, but im still having a blast so far.

Yea, the characters are a bit unbalanced. I have all but the weskers unlocked. Tribal Sheva is still my favorite though.

However, I don't like that Wesker's glasses fall off if he gets hit hard. They should never come off unless he deems it necessary.

They always fall off when he gets hit hard in previous games...and you call yourself a RE fan, hmp...

;P

But I hope this isn't
the last we see of Wesker. I really didn't like the direction they went with him and his "powers". I was hoping for something better than a bunch of worm arm attachments.

Yep, I was REALLY sorry to see the end of
wesker
:monkey2:monkey2 One great character IMO.

I hope
that wasn't the end, and the Wesker clone theory is true. Cause I seriously felt the final boss fight was underwhelming. Thing too I didn't like about RE5, too much boss rehashing. Near every boss fight was simular to 4.Same with the enemies.

Yea, just take out Spanish Ganados and substitute Africans. When I even picked up gold, I still called them Pesetas.

Really? I didn't know this. Maybe I was so awesome in Code Veronica battle mode and RE4 Mercs mode that they never got knocked off:lol
