So fast paced! The gameplay looks unfinished too. Can't wait for this. My most anticipated game this year.
 
Here's hoping they actually make the connection.

Tricell was pretty meh, didn't deserve the honor of replacing Umbrella as the main evil in the series.

Umbrella always reminded me of Weyland Yutani, if they actually got the Xenomorph and made bio weapons out of it :rotfl

I smell a crossover :panic: :lol

Tricell was alright. If they had built it up a bit more, it could have held a decent spot in the RE canon. As it stands...yeah it's a bit weak, and probably won't be back, as I'm sure it was shut down after the Kijuju incedent. There was certainly enough evidence to implicate them.

I hope this game gives a little insight into those Corporations Ada has been working for.

Yeah Wesker and Ada were both in the "3rd organization" whatever that is. I guess it's the next rung down from Tricell.

One thing im noticing alot is the AI partner is out of the picture alot of the time, and I dont see anyone give any of them a gun. Sweet :D

Altman be praised. That was about the death knell for 5. R-tard Sheva. she wasnt a bad character, the AI was abysmal. Light reflection puzzle anyone?

Makes sense characters sticking together, always annoyed me how every character split up in a frickin huge mansion instead of being a team and covering each other or going it alone in Raccoon city.

I know software limitations. but it makes sense if both characters are in the same area be it a few rooms away or just up the stairs. Not attached at the hip though like 5
 
Theres a bunch of clips in the new videos of Helena and Sherry with guns (in fact, theres clips of you being sherry with a gun). And Jake Mueller is using a gun in his new scenes too. I wonder how much of a "hands on" game he is.

Im also getting a big Claire Redfield vibe from Helena wearing the red waistcoat.

Isn't that the dumbest thing? Your in a huge house filled with hellish creatures and zombies so best thing to do is split up ? I never got that. I bet things would be easier if they just stayed together but no. That's just to easy.
 
In theory it would make sense to do that. But i think the game gave a great reason for them to split up. Wesker obviously wants to split from the group so there is only 2 remaining team members from the Trio who enter the mansion in the opening. Chris/Jill are still alive but you dont know where they are (depending on who you are) and Wesker is somewhere. So it would of made sense if you knew where 2 people were, you didnt know where the other 2 were to split up and try to find the other 2 especially since you have only just lost them instead of leaving them for dead (and at the time you had only met one Zombie in the mansion). If it was 2 people only once you entered the mansion like Lost In Nightmares it would make sense to stick together. Besides, there was other STARS A+B Group still running around at that point.

And even though its sketchy how much Barry knew about the whole situation from Wesker i still think he did the best thing in going off on his own because he did find some other STARS members ( all be it dead...) and if Wesker had just vanished he was maybe in trouble and needed help right then and there. Much like the Jill sandwhich situation and the Venom from yawn task.
 
Yea.... True but most squads work as a team. Even in other games the characters never stuck together. Claire would wonder off, Ada, Louis , and others but I can't think off right now.

But, Chris was right to go on his own, so Wesker would imprison Jill. Chris is always renouned as 'Hard' mode.

Jill should've stuck with Barry. But its like, they shouldve stuck together abit more, but branched of. Like in the guardhouse, Jill takes one area, Barry the other, then say you find something or Barry finds something, one radio's the other to meet up. That kind of thing. But Chris' scenario is perfect. barry missing, working with Wesker, jill imprisoned.

RE2 and 3, Leon and Claire should've stuck together for quite abit, but branched off. Like at the STARS office, you couldve left Claire for abit and gone to a different room, and Claire follow you after 5 or so minuets. The basement, one goes to one area, other goes to another. But they did split it into two games with two supporting characters.

RE3, Carlos and Jill shouldve stuck together, and got split up like in Zero. Say they both went into the clock tower, they couldve stuck together in that scenario. Gettin the tram car couldve been a split up job.

But I think Zero did nail the partner system quite well, albeit a little bit more alone time.
 
If 0 didnt have the boring ass item drop system id probably rank it as the best game or possibly 2nd best. Running back and fourth to your item box can be a bit dull but i didnt find it as dull as spending 5 minutes dropping and swapping between Billy and Rebecca. I still call 0 one of the best the best OST, THE best pacing and best settings of RE though. Though the bosses left a bit to be desired, i think the Leech zombies are the most scary between them, Hunters and Lickers. It did nail the buddy system the best of all the games.

I kind of hope RE6 is copying 0 in the buddy system because we have seen characters on their own in the trailers and gameplay. So if this is the case do you get segments where you get to play as the other who is missing while you are doing such and such? I would love that. Revelations did a great job of it too.

Half the survival horror element was trying to get billy to drop his shotgun, give rebecca 30 handgun bullets, drop her grenade launcher, pick up a key item, let rebecca have the shotgun, give billy the grenade launcher, let Rebecca have Billys more powerful handgun and let Billy have the STARS beretta, THEN sort out ammunition for the shotgun out and the hunting rifle, only to realise you have no space so you need to drop it and anticipate any potential herbs which at least you can mix. But you can only mix them with Rebecca cant you and her herb kit?

Tell you what, if you had to do that with the Outbeak inventory, live timing, you'd be _____ed to high heaven XD

I dont mind it that much when its permanent items you have on you because you sort of take into account that thoes blocks will forever be used. But its bloody annoying when you only need to take 2 film cells 300 yards and it takes 5-10 minutes! Or getting the 3 tablets and havign to run full length of the current area a few times just because the blocks are that tight for space! Usually the first thing i do once i enter the research center is go to all the known leech places take them out so i can ditch the Hunting Gun which is pretty crap with its 2 shell capacity and have Billy be a pure Handgun guy. Though that goes tits up when you eventually have to give him the shotgun anyway when you get the rocket launcher. Then you have to end up ditching both pistols all together. I think you get the handgun parts too far into the game to make it worth while. By the time you access the parts you are already 4 guns in and should really be considering ditching the hand guns all together anyway.

And dont get me started on the bloody grapple hook!
