Excella should have been the main villain in 5, having Wesker release Uroboros or T-Veronica Virus[If Capcom followed its own story lines] infecting the world. Instead of having wannabe Raccoon Coty outbreaks[Tall Oaks & China]. Too late Capcom killed Wesker.

They really prematurely killed him off.

Simmons was terrible. But he had an awesome look . Id buy a HT if he was in the outfit above. The Alex Wesker foreshadowing, the fact Simmons really looks like a Wesker makes me think that he was to be Alex. But capcom pulled the plug and decided to introduce Jake. They loosely tried to tie Simmons to previous games where as that doesnt make any impact at all unless it was Alex Wesker working from behind the scenes. Even further behind than Albert.

Simmons is like the Mandarin but in the RE universe.

If they wanted to use Alex Wesker, Capcom needs to really explain his story or have flashbacks. But now that Wesker is dead.... it doesn't really matter. Or unless Alex is Jakes father. Which should have explained that in 6. Also too late for that. The story is they decide not to reboot is just going to include more plot holes and useless storylines.

Or ignore RE5 ending and all of 6. Also remove the 4 from RE4 and make pretend it's a spinoff.

I wouldn't even call it fun. It was so mind numbing and not engaging at all. It might be the most watered down, let down, epic fail in recent memory. Although Colonial Marines trumps it.

They need to explain Jake more. You can't just imply Wesker had a one night stand with some lady friend back in the day and leave it there. Put some effort into it gentlemen...
