I found it weird how Chris went into a deep depression in re 6 when he lost all his men but when his partner Jill was presumed dead whom was way more important to him he was just kinda like " damn I sorta miss that chick". Guess they were all his butt buddies or somthing .

I always thought about that too. I think it just shows how awful writers RE6 had.

I didn't love or hate Chris up to CV. Hell I kinda liked him in CV, but they drastically changed his appearance (I assume because of Wesker? And it didn't even help at all) and then drastically change his demeanor in RE6.

Leon, for the most part, has been consistent and realistic at least. In RE2 he's just a rookie, but skilled. RE4 the super agent, and then onward stayed with that whole plot device.

I hope in Rev3 Jill makes a return. She's only had two outings as the star in two mainline games in the series.

I liked RE3 Jill the most, especially the voice. The subsequent actors for her just doesn't work IMO.

Yeah I know. A few of the X-Men cast got the RE gig because of the Marvel VS Capcom games way back. I still think Capcom should have kept them.

They should reunite Jill and Barry for Rev3. Maybe even bring back Carlos. I'd like to hear drom him again. Obviously it's too much to ask for Billys return.

Come on all I've been pointing out how strange it is about Chris and Jill for some time! I swear...Capcom only did that to throw a wrench in the bs 'Chris x Jill' theories/fan fics. if not...well yeah, they're that bad.

Chris was good in CV, his introduction was pretty awesome and he had some decent moments, namely the Wesker encounters. Leon's progression was great though, that's why I like him so much.

RE3 Jill is great, she was fairly on top of things and handled everything pretty well. Her REmake va is great though! What are you on Ryan?

No, it's more about the FPS mechanic and it going even further away from classic RE.

I think it's a combination of a few things. There's a general negative feeling towards capcom that's been around for a little while. Due to the treatment of their most beloved titles like Megaman and RE, Devil may cry etc.... RE6 definitely has a few people on edge. And RE7's initial reveal seemed a little to drastic a departure.

I hated what I saw of RE7 at first. But they're slowly starting to pull me in. They're doing a good (but frustrating) job of teasing this game. I'm hoping for the best.

Due to the treatment of their most beloved titles like Megaman and RE, Devil may cry etc.... RE6 definitely has a few people on edge. And RE7's initial reveal seemed a little to drastic a departure.

I hated what I saw of RE7 at first. But they're slowly starting to pull me in. They're doing a good (but frustrating) job of teasing this game. I'm hoping for the best.

From what was shown thus far, I think the atmosphere, infected and weapons talked about all look great. Not to mention the graphics look fan-****ing-tastic. It's just the FPS angle. IDK.

You can never go wrong with zombies in RE. Even RE6 did them well for the most part.

I think the fear aspect well definitely be in play, since our cone of vision will be limited where as the old games you can see behind you.

FPS won't work for RE, at all. I think if it's TPS, it'll be fine enough.

And for real FPS horror games are just so obscenely overdone, they lack surprises at this point. Unless it's Indie but even then people are getting tired of Indie FPS horror games. I noticed the main criticism Revelations 2 got from people was that it was by the numbers and wasn't much new, which this game may suffer from.

I think this will end up being the most successful RE ever, more so than RE4. Not saying I'll agree with it, just a feeling.

Yea. Think about it for a second. PT didn't come out and that would of made bank and you also have outlast and amnisia which are good but they aren't wildly known. There isn't much fps horror that people know to well. This is resident evil with fps. This could go well or bad. Who knows. However seeing how much they are putting horror in this game and monsters this could be a scary game. I just want a scary RE game again.

Thanks for the responses.....I was just curious, but that makes sense.

I am completely new to the series, but can appreciate moving away from the 3rd person is gonna freak people out.

From my research, this is not the first RE to be in first person. So was RE: Survivor on the PSONE. I have it, but gonna play RE3 first.
