As of now, I'm still a little iffy about the first person. Mostly because I just prefer 3rd person because I like seeing the animations of the characters. And I like seeing attack animations while grappling with the monsters. In first person it just turns into shakycam nonsense. But oh well I'll get over it.

I wonder if this antagonist being called "the family man" has any connection to "The Family" that was mentioned in RE6...

I dont really know . But I remember that scene where Simmons is screaming at the guys in he helicopters saying "nooo how could my family abandon me?!" Or something. So I think theyre still out there. Whos knows...RE6 doesnt even know

You can sort of giggle a bit at the blatant crotch shot of the male protagonist, but at least it shows how far the graphics can be pushed to make all the folds and movements in the clothes more realistic. Most male characters in video games look like Ken dolls with no definition ' down there all despite everything else looking really good. Even their butts are flat as anything So I Capcom for taking this little detail into account with their male characters as much as they are doing with the females and their ****s

As for everything else I love how gross and disgusting the zombies look so far. Creepy as all hell But makes me also wonder what type of areas we will be dealing with in the game. Will it be just confined to the mansion or will we go to other locals like in the more classic RE games in order to liven it up a bit ? I mean, could you imagine playing this game in VR mode, walking through an old graveyard and suddenly look down and see all these hands and arms ripping out through the ground to get you ? And when you turn around all you see is these shambling zombies pulling themselves out of the ground and begin shambling after you ?

Sorry, but Leon is one of the most overrated and unidimensional characters from the entire franchise... Jill, Chris and Wesker are Resident Evil!

Nah. Chris has always been white bread boring. Him being a drunk was so ham handed and forced. He's just depressed on how much he sucks compared to Leon

Jill and Wesker are awesome, but he's the weakest link of RE1 class. Barry is way cooler than Chris. Even prior to RE5, I never got why Chris is the lead male hero of the series when he's incredibly dull. Capcom likes him the most of the rest of the men, but Leon is the fan favorite. I mean, just look at the CG movies. They're always geared to Leon Bond.

Now I'm not saying Leon is unscathed from having poor outings. He's great in RE2 and RE4 even with cheesy one liners. He's the only one of the series to even show humor really. RE6 of course was crap. Ada is the only redeemable character from that mess.

I think Wesker had the best character arc of anyone in the series. Starts of as a head researcher, to Umbrella field agent, to capturing Bio Weapons and viruses for the rival corporation, to God.

Leon is just as white bread and boring honestly. But at least Chris has changed over the series. Leon...has stayed the same. RE6 Chris is tired of fighting Chris. But by the end of it he's back to "fighting til I die" Chris. "A world without fear. Yeah its worth it" as be said at the end of RE5. Which is way better character development than Leon who's been stuck in "ADA WAIT!" limbo since RE2.


Just like we've been stuck in this conversation limbo since RE6 came out . Lets just stop talking about RE6. I promise I won't bring it up if you dont
