They should've called the game something else then. :huh

If they would have released, something exactly like a successor to resident evil 6...you would have a lot of people that would say, that the series is getting stale.
They did something bold, and completely went from scratch, and the series new and refreshing again.
That's balls.
And I'm not even a first person gamer. I've always prefered 3rd person.

After playing the demo, Resident evil feels new again.

Also the lack of co-op/a partner really speaks volumes for the game. I'm hoping at last....so many reviewers tried saying 'having to watch over someone is tense and almost scary' in RE5 reviews and I'm like what? The fear of isolation and loneliness is a huge part in most survival horror games!

It hasn't been Resident Evil since Code Veronica. :lol

Amen Remy, I don't want the same ish, it needs more survival horror. Resident evil 6 was enjoyable but it felt like it wrapped up episodes 4 and 5.

I'd commend them a little more if they were actually innovating. As of now it just seems like another dime a dozen first person horror game which have all become a little "samey"

However what would make this special for me, is the Resident Evil touches, which I don't see a lot of. The herbs and item chest are nice. The EKG health system is also gloriously welcome. But I hope to see more while playing the game.

I'll say this. They definitely have me curious about whats going on and that alone will motivate me through the story...I hope :lol

Story cannot be any worse than RE6's globetrotting garbage.

It hasn't been Resident Evil since REmake and 4. :lol
Fixed! Silly Vinnie :thwak:

also yeah biojex is right. First person horrors are all the rage lately, but if it does have the RE touches, then it stands out. But the video concept is neat. I think at the very least they've really got people interested, probably why they did it.

:lol this is the weirdest marketing campaign. I've never seen a game advertise how it saves :lol

I'm actually kind of enjoying this now :lol

And its "makes no sense" love revenge story...thing.

And there wasn't even a payoff in it. Colonel Sanders gets killed... and that's it :dunno

If Leon kissed Ada again, I think it would of been something. When I really break it down, I think the only nostalgia I got out of it was Ada's RE2 theme being played at the end.

I don't agree bunky.

Remakes-shmemakes.
because you disagree with everything you lose! gtfo vinnie binnie. begone ye plebian peasant punk.

ps bunky sounds lame and you should feel bad and your comment makes no sense.

Leon's campaign seems like it was building up for nostalgic moments with how he was stuck in another town full of zombies when he was sent there just after the outbreak began...that's the strange thing. RE6's story was trying WAAAAAY too hard to be epic, and ambitious. No Hope Left was its slogan...of all things, really? all those commercials about hope and stuff. :lol and I thought God of War III was bad with its sudden messages about hope in the end game.

At least it isn't Kojima-level marketing, we'd be losing our ******* minds :lol nothing about RE6 makes sense. I almost wonder how did Jake inherit Wesker's super strength and martial arts...and then how Wesker lowered his standards...when did he find time between Uroboros and stuff.....and when yout hink about all this nonsense, it gets worse. So much worse :lol

Bunky's got a point about how RE 6 was trying way too hard in everything. Leon's campaign was mildly decent, but that's not the best example, Bunky. Remember, Bunky, Simmons turned into a Werewolf/horse, a T-Rex, a giant mosquito and then the Kraken - that's trying too hard.

And I'll tell you Bunky, Jake's campaign made no sense whatsoever, but you know he was tapping that Sherry ***.

I enjoyed Leon and Ada's campaign in RE6.
I played Leon's campaign several times, so at first, I didnt understand all the hate for RE6.
But once I played Jake's and Chris' campaign, finally understood all the hate.

For the first time playing resident evil, it was a chore trying to finish those campaign.

I think I, Bunky, and everyone else in this thread would agree with that assessment. Mentioning Ada, I don't think I ever finished her campaign...

Who the hell is bunky???

Anyway re6 was a mess. They should of kept Leon in that town not in China or whatever. For a game that kept saying no hope left, nobody we cared about died, nothing changed, and not once were the characters in ever real danger cause they were so overpowered.

Hope the kill off mr walking cliche off or something . The opening scene of re7 should be the bakers making jake "sqeal like a pig". Hate that guy.
