I have every single RE game released, including 3 different versions of the original and RE2, I have every re-release of 4/5/6, the Gamecube ports of 2/3/CV, the Wii ports, the PS3 re-releases of Umbrella/Darkside chronicles and ORC.

Jump scares come with this perspective. Im not talking about scripted events. Im talking You turn around and a moulder is there, it grabs me, throws me to the floor, rips my neck out and im dead. Retry and the moulder spawns somewhere else or not at all. Every time I have died, the enemy has come at me differently to the way it killed me. The game makes you jumpy, even a crackle of thunder is genuinely unsettling.

Regarding my list, I personally dont rate either Revelations game. I find the stories rubbish. I dont like stealth camo hunters, awful 'dumb' side characters, bland ooze enemies which are pink regenerators and dumber than zombies. Revelations 2 is just genuinely boring 90% of the time. I finished it for the 4th time this morning and it was the ultimate chore. I hate babysitting another character.

Im a huge fan of RE Zero. The continuity of Rebecca is annoying but I love the story, I love the training facility, I love the enemy designs, a fantastic soundtrack and I enjoyed partner switching. I liked seeing Wesker and Birkin watching the facility from the labs seen in RE2. Id love to have outbreak higher but I find the gameplay nearly unbearable. Looking back, the gameplay did need the overhaul we got with RE4. Survivor was a great G-Con game. I remember having both that and Time Crisis. It had a good story and I loved the design of Hypnos. I enjoyed Dead Aim too.

Im surprised people arent moaning about prefering RE3 over RE2 but my list is a mix of how I enjoy the game. I hold each game differently; I rate RE5 less than CV but I still love CV; better story, better enemy design, better soundtrack (suspended doll is utter perfection), but I prefer the nature of RE5's pick up and play mindlessness.

Ill be honest, Ive finished RE4 more than any other RE game, but Its story is naff, the AI is awful, they ruined Leon's character, I detest Ashley, I detest babysitting her but I love picking it up, finding any old save and just rocket launchering Novistador nests or Typewrittering everything in sight. Still rate many games higher than it but it doesnt make it any less of a great game. Like RE6. Its still a lengthy, polished game. Just too American World War Z for me, but I respect the effort put into it.

Except Survivor 2. That truly is awful.

All valid reasons. The list is just so higglty pigglty for my mind to wrap around. Usually theres patterns, people go from older games to newer games sub consciously ect and you did for the most part. And eventhough ive completed Re 4 maybe 150 times and i find it to be more fun than Revelations 2, id say Revelations 2 is a better " Resident Evil experience ". I think Resident Evil 0 has the strongest opening of any RE game, but after that opening the drop is astonishing and puts it right down the list near the bottom for me.

oooo Gamestop called me and said I can pick up my copy tonight at 9

Went in to see if there were any unclaimed collectors editions I could upgrade to but the gamestop clerks said their shipment got delayed because of some storms. Damn that sucks. I guess i'll just take it as a sign I'm not supposed to get that dumb doll house

Nah she's been looking forward to it since the demo. She specifically wants me to not play it until she's off work this week.
