I just didn't like that enemies were boring and bland looking. Considering their origin they could look like a sick fantasy of a crazy child.

Plus there was no phychological aspect to the story or characters.
The family are just zombified victims instead of corrupted prey, Mia is a boring agent #10833, Ethan is a dumb fetch guy with no depth, ect.

RE7 wasn't bad, but had no where near the enjoyment of the rest of the series. RE6 was better overall, even as a action filled mess.

I think it's agreed that the game is solid as a decent horror game...it's just lacks any and all of the charm, creativity, and ingenuity that the first few Resident Evil games possessed (and maybe 4). This game is like those "how to draw anime" books you'd find in Barnes N Noble. It's a handbook on horror tropes.

It's bland. Where is the creativity? Some people said it a while back...that this game feels like it was made for the jump scare youtube reaction generation...I think they were right. They just injected it with every horror trope they could think of...

i mean you can distill anything and make it seem mundane.

There's no payoff at all with the family. They're just innocent bystanders, and while that's fine... I feel like something is missing. There's just no characters to connect with. At all.

Jack baker made the first mansion with Trevor which is why he has a pic of it. But other than that it’s a bland RE game that played it safe.
I wanted zombies , dogs and bio weapons.
We just got these derpy molded creatures and some little girl. It’s made much more sense if zombies were in the basement instead of giant mold monsters.

It might not feel like a real RE game, and I can agree with that.

But this was and is the reason as to why PSVR exists. A gaming experience of a lifetime to be honest, and I thought the whole VR concept was stupid unless it was ****.

Best VR experience there is out there.

Yeah, I liked Zoe. I picked her over Mia in my first playthrough.

Also. Where have you been, Boba!? I miss you round these parts! Glad to see you back, even if it's brief.

I just sort of drop in once in awhile. My participation is quite lacking as you can see since this was from about a month ago.

I still haven't played Not a Hero and didn't want to plunk down the $15 for End of Zoe. Would probably be more worthwhile to wait for Gold Edition to go on super sale or something.
