Finally got around to painting Barry's vest with the same Tulip fabric spray paint that Buttmunch used. Problem is it dried brown.

Buttmunch/onethousandmasks, did y'all paint the vest multiple times until it reached the desired red?

Answered my own question, which is yes. Only took one repaint to get the desired red. Can't say the same for orange, it's just as pathetic as yellow. Luckily the Folk Art fabric paint is stronger.

I have the tan fabric dye in transit regarding HUNK's shoulder rig. Still gotta get a better hydration pouch, duct tape the radio pouch, attain more pouches for the belt, get a single strap drop-leg holster(less) for the left leg, and finally, elongate the gas mask to make it more bug-like.

I definitely see Rebecca in that hs, reminds me a lot of the mercenaries in RE 5 :p, i hope you can get her hair brown, i reeeeeally want to see yours finished :D i'll try to get my raven head asap so i can try out different ways to style her hair, i hope i can make it u.u

I think it would have been easier to buy a tan rig and swap the shoulder parts. There is actually a tan version of the one you used. Btw, what helmet are you using? It looks small.

Haven't been able to find an accurate, tan shoulder rig as of yet. The helmet came with that gas mask, however, the gas mask and helmet in those pics are more accurate to his RE2 look and thus will be used for that at a later time. I have another gas mask and helmet that will be used for this RE4 HUNK.

Problem is seating the helmet on the head with the gas mask in place. There doesn't seem to be a helmet that's big enough yet the right size to fit on. Just like in real life in MOPP 4, the brim of the helmet isn't just going to go over the brow of the gas mask perfectly, it's going to be at a slight angle. At least, with the MCU-2 type anyway. Probably looks big because I have the helmet level to the ground and forced over the brow.

nice job on rebecca but the sculpt your using would good on claire imo

I'm already using this one for Claire:

Not a big fan of her slightly angry eyebrows on my (Rebecca) HS, since she always has a kind look to her. However she did have a sincere look in one RE0 and RE5 pic.

Besides, I'd prefer to use different HS's for all my customs (unless they're the same character). I don't want a bunch of twins running around, comes off cheap looking :lol

Where'd you get the pants and shirt by the way?

the shirt i got from ebay but it was off so i used another one more accurate in color there is a pic of it with my re3 jill, as for the pants these are ttl swat female they were originality blue bleached them dyed them painted over then did a black wash to them

Thanks! Did you take a 1/6 female sweater and dye/cut it to resemble your STARS Jill/Rebecca t-shirts?

Damn. Lol good luck! I'm still hopeful that HT is going to give us more RE figures, but it's fun to make customs. :)

Vests for you know who!

I had a weird result with this one. Only a part of the vest was the right color orange after fabric painting then bleaching. I sincerely hope my second run makes it perfect. The dry part was the result and the wet part is my painting over the parts that weren't bleached right:

This is the "test vest," the one with the backwards lettering. Bleach destroyed its softness, however, it does wonders brightening the fabric paint that was unnoticeable before into something noticeable!:

Is this a good enough shade for Barry?:
