All is good so the print was quick. Here's the update on Mendez test print. It ends up about the same size as Leon. Head is on M33 body. Do you still want it bigger than Leon head?

Damn i am so excited for that sculpt, but yeah i would like the sculpt to be bigger than Leons since Mendez is a tall boy.... That beard is glorious though xD

This is the height difference i am working with between Leon & Mendez so i will need the sculpt to be a little bigger than Leon's

I don't revise it. I guess kfcolt don't revise anything too. It's just like on my photos I posted here. I remember you criticized it, I just thought you didn't like it lol.

Alright, I'll make it bigger. Yes, I like how the beard turned out. From the silhouette I just thought it looked like an older Kratos lol

I didn't change anything, the Leon sculpt just arrived looking that good. Though i think the body i am using really helps highlight how good the sculpt is.

Awesome, the whole sculpt turned out really well. Yeh older Kratos and Mendez do look kinda similar.

I used the JIAOU DOLL 1/6 Seamless male body (the pale skin), the neck was super thin though so i pulled back the rubber of the neck, wrapped the metal frame in clingfilm to make it thicker and fit the headsculpt perfectly. really happy with how it turned out.

Looks nice, it does look a touch like Alice.. But 300 USD for a head sculpt.. thats steep. I suppose if money is no object. Maybe...
But I'll wait for my Jill and Zombie Jill two pack.

i believe thats the same 500 AUD head, since its the same person thats posting it on OSR, the paint job is okay but not that much fans of the hair... it would be great if "357Partment" paint it or the better one "No6" Artist but it would be twice the price.. hehheeheheh

Lim toys is only 1/12 scale though. Dam got licensed so their figs should be spot on, especially if they end up the the assassins creed line which is amazing

If i had to guess i would say that for what ever reason Capcom didn't green light any real merchandise until after the game launched and was a success and that's why it has taken so long to see some figures. For comparison Asmus was teasing a DMC5 Nero figure with a photo of an almost complete Nero prototype days before the game released however Dam Toys didn't announce they had the line until months after the release of the game and had nothing to show.

I think Dam Toys made the announcement as soon as they had the rights before even working on a figure to dissuade from 3rd parties making figures.

so that explains why merch is popping up so late after the release, however i don't know if Prime1 and Lim previewing stuff so soon after Dam Toys is because of a coincidence or because they wanted to jump in on the hype created by Dam Toys.

Capcom might also been pushing to get these releases out fast, because if the Rumours of a RE4 Remake are true peoples desires for what version of Leon might shift, I know for me personally if a RE4 remake is shown my figure priorities and focus will shift... but that could just be me thinking way into things.

Though everything i said previously is pure speculations, i honestly don't know any of the facts, it's just my best guess.

Sure Jill is newer but the game wasn't a successful, the outfit not as iconic, the figure more complicated with more skin showing plus doing Leon first helps reassure customers. like if the skipped straight to a Jill figure a part of me would doubt they would go back and do a Leon or Claire but doing a Leon first i am instead thinking ah okay they are working in order.

Dam toys does look pretty spot of so does Lim Toys..... I just wish one of them went for a different version of Leon. The Collectors Edition statue, the Dam Toys figure, the Lim Figure and the Upcoming Prime1 statue all being the same version of Leon when Leon has like 3 canon looks in the Remake is a little much... i get why no one is doing that casual look but i hoped at least one of them would have tried the injured look.
