Jokes aside, I think it's really all about setting a limit in this (or any) hobby. Do you really wanna spend more than a thousand dollars on a small little action figure that's just standing on a shelf, collection dust basically?
For me personally the answer is no. Just like niekgrijz said. It's kinda hard to justify.
But I'm not saying it's wrong to do that. Most people would probably say that I spend way too much on this hobby as is. But do I care about that? No, not really ;)
If you wanna make a living from making custom figures alone you have to charge prices like that. I get that. So I'm not trying to criticise either.
It's just all about personal choices, I guess...

I try to think of it as art, like a 3D painting, it helps me sleep at night 😅

I mean, if you look at his price breakdown most of his stuff isnt much more than what youd pay for parts of other figures on ebay, but instead of getting some ****** (not always the case) third party stuff, youre getting custom pieces that have been hand painted and hand made.

different items, but similar stuff, all around the same price.

This is basically how I ended up making my choices when deciding what parts to order from Jaeger's list: I was only planning on a head originally but now have requested pistol hands, pads, straps/belts, handgun, magnum and shotty too, mostly unpainted. Gonna be spending nearly 300 quid before I even buy a TBL body and clothe it, look forward to painting things up. I'd rather give him my cash for accurate, quality stuff than something split from a dodgy figure.

Having purchased his RE3 Jill head last year - abeit unpainted - I can attest that Jaeger's work is beautiful and considering these parts aren't readily available nor ever even made in the first place I'm happy to go for it and recommend y'all grab what you can within your means.

With Ada coming in the next week and a half or so, and unsure if I want to keep her or not, im thinking I might try this method out. Looks pretty good, but I worry her calfs may look too thick after? Anyone have any experience with this type of mod?

I dont think this will be worth the trouble. You could just get a poptoys or worldbox body since she’s completely covered anyway.

Used the Worldbox at201 body for the MT Ada as per a lot of people's recommendations on here. I really like it compared to their recommended s12d.
Those boots were a HUGE pain to put on though.

Curious, how tall is she with that body? With the S12D she's almost 31cm.

Tbleague are always taller. Plus, with the boots she’s wearing she’ll be even taller. Honestly, it’s a waste to be using a full seamless body when Ada is fully covered. Just my opinion, people were already complaining about the Dam body used for their Ada and how taller she is than Leon. Just a thought….

Probably a little shorter than what she's supposed to be but to me the proportions look more game accurate compared to the S12D.

Thanks for that. I think she's about 2-3cm smaller potentially compared to s12d. I'll keep this in mind when I get Leon to see how the compare next to each other.

I think I'm going to go with AT203, it's a bit taller and similar proportions to AT201, I have 2 Damtoys Ada Wong and I don't want huge difference between them three

If you're looking for consistency between the 3 figure heights then AT203 is your best bet.

Given that the AT201 is roughly a head shorter than the Damtoys Claire in terms of height difference, that would mean that the AT203 is almost the same height as Damtoys Claire. Did a quick ruler measurement and this checked out. (284mm - 11.18 inches, Classic Claire is roughly 11.4 inches)

Once you add the heels onto that figure then you're back in the same "Oversized Ada" territory as the Damtoys one :)

Looks good. The boots looked like they are too tight for the legs, this may cause a longevity issue

I did not realize how difficult it was to find a navy shirt with the sleeves rolled up. There anyway to just do it manually or am I gonna have to learn to break out a sewing kit?

I'e been gone for a while, personal stuff, has anyone made a Krauser?
What's the closest outfit for RE4 remake's Wesker design?
Someone commissioned me to make Krauser. Just the head sculpt though. Probably because he can't rely to any company to make it.
