For $229, I’m sorry…but I’m gonna pass. If they wise up and sell the heads separately (with rolling eyes), we’ll talk. Otherwise, I’ll wait to see if some are listed on eBay. It’s just a shame that all these companies aren’t wise to this whole game. You could completely cut out the middleman and offer up the heads separately right off the rip.

Yeah thankfully this one has her already dressed because the original is an absolute nightmare to dress and I actually tore the tights luckily I can hide it with the boots. But at least this one you don't have to worry about it, although I am wondering if it will be easy to put her dress on to another body.

But seriously, wtf MT? Now they're pulling the same **** move as SWtoys with a re-release?
This makes me glad I don't have anything else preordered from MT.
Same goes for SW as well. Releasing halfassed products time and time again. And then putting on higher price tags for their lack of effort as well!
But hey! At least we have a "rolling eyeballs" feature now!

I really don’t like the body. Too busty, she has weirdly proportioned long skinny legs and wide shoulders. First thing I’ll do is swap for the S17B which is still the GOAT imo.

For the dress look I’ll use S17B, for the regular outfit I’ll just use a jointed body. Probably that worldbox one with ankle extenders so it matches with my other Ada’s. Plastic bodies are easy to dress and I won’t have to worry about longevity/degrading.

Im afraid of that as well. The annoying thing with MT products is they sell out instantly. So you cant just wait a bit to see if theyre gonna do a 2.0 or compare the different companies to each other before you decide which you want.

At this point I'll just be taking my chances on Damtoys and wait and see what they come up with next.
Knowing MT and SW, they'll make classic versions of Ada and Ashley next.
Hot Heart just flat out said f it and skipped to the classic version right away.

Island specific version. Bullet proof vest, fighting knife. Weather the whole thing, alt sculpt showing the infection taking over. Pretty sure the first release only has a pistol and shotgun. So throw in a couple weapons like the second shotgun, sniper rifle. Sadler’s staff if you wanna get crazy. The current Leon only really works for as a Chapter 1 Leon. So there is loads you could do with a 2.0

I plan on getting one or both of the rolling eye heads. I’m not buying the kit. The Ada I have is essentially 1:1 based on looks and proportions. The new 2.0 will use yet another inaccurate body.

The MTToys head I have already features rolling eyes, so I don’t really even need to upgrade. It’s mostly about the improved paint apps and retooled sculpt. I’m not really sure which sculpt is more accurate though, to be honest.

MTToys really just needs to offer the heads separately, alongside the full release. The same goes for any 2.0 release that uses roughly the same body. The Hot Toys Maul is a good example. As is the likely to come 2.0 Dooku and Qui-Gon.

Hot Toys is just flat out greed ridden though. I don’t ever see them simply offering up a headsculpt for anything. That seems beneath them. They don’t understand how much goodwill it earns you with your customer base though. It shows they have an ear to the ground on the concerns of fans and collectors and the oversaturation.

The sheer amount of 1.0 Maul figures that’s being listed, and will continue to be listed for some time to come, is just a joke. Just toss aside your previous work Hot Toys. You’d think they would be proud of the original figure enough to be like, “hey guys, here’s also a headsculpt set for those that already own that amazing first figure and want to adopt the new sculpts.”

I love how everyone just assumes you can get MT’s stuff parted out from ebay.

I waited forever to get a loose Lara Croft headsculpt and I’m still waiting. Only very few were parted out and they sold instantly. I was extremely lucky to get the MT toys Ellie headsculpts. They resell now for $150 and up and are impossible to get now.

MT products are scarce, I think they produce the exact amount of pre-orders they get or something like that. Always sells out in an instant. Ive noticed the same for SW, very few are parted out.

Damtoys RE4 figures is a big IF and won’t be anytime soon. Skipping Village and 3 Remake isn’t a good sign.

I think the bare minimum in accessories is just MTTOYS.

Having the collectors statue a Leon 2.0 figure that works without the Jacket would be appreciated.
