Not sure if people were interested but this is the superduck ada re4 remake

Likeness still isn't quite there, but it's not bad.
I have the SD Ashley on PO, but skipped Ada since I already have the MT 1.0, as well as the 2.0 on PO.

I have been wondering whats going on with this one though. Release is nearly a year late...

thats by the same company that gave us that god awful leon sculpt. I’d say manage your expectations. Everything By-Art I’ve ever bought was terribly mediocre or final product didnt look like promotional images at all.

Yeah that sculpt is...something. lol
I wonder if the backlash they got for that Leon sculpt made them go back and put in a little more effort with Ada? I personally kind of doubt it, but I'm still curious to see how she'll turn out.
Or maybe they'll also just make an "Adah 2.0".

Lord don't remind me that sculpt lol I got so hyped when it was announced (while it looked nothing like Leon still looked high quality and by then MT Leon wasn't a thing ) then ordered 3 and didn't even check other two. Idk where they are now. lol

Just rewatched Damnation and it's such a good movie!!! Cinematography and everything, my bby is so beautiful there! Excited for the figure!!!

That SD Ada kit probably towers of even Leon, lol. Once put together those figures are Amazonian’s!

I finally managed to get a Damtoys Classic Claire so I tried headswapping her with some available ladies I have here. With i8Toys Candy body, her head is a little big, but she can look ok from certain angles. With TBLeague S34 body, she looks a bit better although the head is a tiny bit big for the body.



I'm not used to the Damtoys body, it's quite limited in terms of articulation. I wonder if there are other compatible bodies that are not silicone/tpe but has way better articulation, like double jointed elbows/knees. I remember this one called Very Cool Villa and that one has awesome articulation, but I don't think Very Cool sells plastic bodies. Last time I checked, they're selling silicone/tpe bodies like TBLeague now.

This statue has the perfect leon haircolor. This is how I see his hair.

I think the Leon re-release has the best face. The original had blue eyes and slightly sloppy paint, and the Classic had overly red lips. The Re-release has greyish eyes and sharper paint all around. You can buy the re-release head by itself now.

I wonder, now that 3D scanners become more readily available. I hope they start scanning statues like these and making the heads in 1/6 format.

My buddy mattjack told me about the EC3025 body by True1toys. Used it as a replacement for the Damtoys Ada body that was too tall. She's now just a hair shorter than Claire.

Its cheaper because you barely get any accessories and you have to buy the body yourself..

I admit SD’s HS looks good. But MT is more than worth the money with all the accessories, two sculpts with rolling eyeballs, two outfits, a stand and body included.

To be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of the accessories and I just planned to pose her with the pistol in hand next to Leon. That's why I considered going for it, but the likeness looks better on MT Ada so I just PO'd that.

Also, she's not available to PO anymore at some retailers, including OSK. Is that a hint that she's close to release? Giantoys says it's scheduled for 2024-4.

I feel like everyone always makes the hair too gold and shiny though.

That statue has a great sculpt tho. Someone shrink it to 1/6 please lol If it was just him standing on a simple base I'd purchase, but I don't have such space do display such a huge rock. Just in general not a fan of Prime 1 bases, I prefer simple and demure bases.

I really like how it looks. But they couldve made it just a tad more matte looking.
