Also if anyone was interested, I did a few sculpt swaps of all the various Leon sculpts sans the RE6 one because that one is a full sculpted neck and won’t work. The Damtoys sculpt actually works really well to my surprise. It makes him look more yolked though haha

First up is the By-Art sculpt. Not great.

And then finally the original Hot Toys. Which doesn’t work at all . Even if you remove the plug inside the sculpt it sits way too high

Angry sculpt looks very uncanny. But you might be able to make it look decent with dramatic lighting and just the right angle.

here’s the Mt sculpt on Damtoys body. Looks great actually. There is a small color difference from neck to head but really unnoticeable in hand.

The angry sculpt did not fair too well in the final product. The teeth give off too much of a veneer look. It will work for some action shots in dynamic lighting. But in the shelf it’s a bit odd looking. Pardon the lazy eye lol. I didn’t really go to adjust the eyes.

I know some people were having trouble with an underbite but it might be a case by case basis, depending on how well the teeth insert was installed. Mine sits more overbite than under.

Those initial photos we got really didnt do the figure justice.

He looks pretty amazing in these pictures!! So excited to get him. But I will for sure try a few bodyswaps to see if I can improve the proportions. Im still a bit iffy on the Jiaou body

It’s definitely the broadness of the shoulders that throw it off. You can bring them down a bit, but they’re still too broad. It works with the jacket on but without, it’s more noticeable. There’s another Jiaou doll body I have on my Dante with slightly more narrow shoulders. I might see how it looks.

Damn the Mttoys sculpt on the dam body looks awesome, so badass.

I mainly wanted to see for a potential body swap but now I’m like I kinda wanna use that sculpt with the Dam figure, has no right looking that good.

If only the angry sculpt was better.

Can’t wait to get this guy in hand and see what I can come up with.

That’s interesting, I’d be curious to see how that looks.

I’m just judging from early images at the moment but to me it’s the tightness of the pants especially around the boots that’s throwing off the proportions.

Maybe we can fix the angry sculpt by repainting the teeth? Make them a bit more off white. Maybe paint the gums?

They are pretty tight and my pants were sitting really high at first, up past his belly button and they gave him this weird diaper that I removed and it lessened the tightness.

I'm in the minority here who enjoys the angry sculpt, I don't think its too bad. I almost wanna find a use for it, but not sure what Id do.

The RE4 head does look excellent on the RE2 body, looks perfectly like the costume in game.

I was mistaken. They are about the same shoulder width. And the Dante body is slightly more muscular. Ignore the Cloud clothes I was using this for a Cloud test as well haha

This is about as narrow as I can take the shoulders which I think works for me

I wasn’t able to find good straight on reference from the game, so if anyone has any please do share.

I should be getting my Leon this Thursday if all goes well.

I also have that exact JXtoys body that's not being used, my fear is the skin tone may not match but will see.

I'm content with how the current body looks judging from what people have shown here, looks like a solid release.

I've been lurking for a while, but my MTToys Leon figure arrived yesterday so I wanted to share some pictures of him!

I'm glad they chose to use a body that has a metal skeleton instead of the cheap plastic joints their Ashley figure came with (one of which broke on me), his neck is a little thick but I do like the details of his veins on his arms

I also added some pictures of how he looks next to the Damtoys Leon figure and the MTToys Ashley & Ada. MTToys Leon is a little on the short side, at least next to Ashley and Ada but overall I'm super happy with how he looks and the accessories he comes with!!
