I kinda like RE7 Chris. I can see RE1 Chris in the model. I wonder how the rest of the cast would have looked if they kept that realistic approach.

Need an open mouth screaming sculpt for sure, and if the mask is wearable I’d definitely double dip to give Chris a team member.

Tho I do suspect i am in the minority in wanting RE7 Chris

Ada Wong Master Team Toys 1.0, she doesn't seem sad or doesn't look like is crying like 2.0 and sculpt is more accurate in my opinion, more asian traits than 2.0. Body is Worldbox AT201 light suntan, perfect for her.

Anyway, got my Mr. X a height accurate body. Yeah the head and clothes are obviously a bit bigger than they should be, but if you futz with the clothing it looks pretty good and balanced.

I made some subtle changes to the eyes and lips, not sure if I actually made any improvements though.

I know exactly what you mean.
The sculpts are okay at best, same as the MT Leon, but I still don't see any likeness to the actual game models in either of them.

BTW, what body did you use for X? I've put mine back in the box because he can't stand on his own two feet without falling over every 2 seconds.

Whats with this ada hate train all of a sudden? She’s awesome. If you have her looking straight forward yea she kinda looks like shes cried, accentuated by the heavy red make up.

But if you have her looking off to the side or more upwards it looks great.

Ive noticed on figures with rotating eyes the eyeshape looks wrong, or too “open” not relaxed. Very noticeable for me on Paul artreides by inart. When were relaxing our face we usually squint a tiny little bit, whereas this Ada for example has her eyes fully opened. Its not the biggest deal, but it is noticeable. This would be my biggest critique for the headsculpt, it does make her look less “asian”. But everything else, faceshape, nose, chin. All looks right to me.

However, for a third party. She’s by far the best sculpt we’ve gotten. Better than Damtoys, the hair on damtoys looks cheap to me, and these MT sculpts look much more expressive. It kills me how terrible the paint quality and the expressions are on officially licensed Damtoys. The 2.0 paint app is a significant upgrade from the 1.0. Anyone preferring 1.0 must be out of their mind or is just butthurt theyre stuck with their 1.0. People saying she looks more asian when it’s the exact same sculpt, just different expression with a very mediocre paint app…

They are just mad they missed 2.0. She has a Smokey eyes in the game and 2.0 captures that pretty well. I have both and there is day and night difference. New one in superior.

If the prime1 RE4 statue was 1/6 and the price reflected that… would be a no brainier instant buy. For that scale and that money it’s not what I’d want from a RE4R Leon despite looking incredible.

What about the lim 1/12 RPD Leon? I know it’s 1/12 but I think Lim nailed the likeness and is far superior to the Dam figure despite the smaller scale.

It still hurts my soul that both the 1/12 RE4 Leon’s got cancelled… the nwtoys outfit with the lim alt sculpt battling the patriot studio chainsaw would have been one hell of a display. Being tempted by the 1/12 Krauser has reopened that old wound.

Its a bit unfair to compare MT with all those other companies that are known for their mediocre work and endless iterations (SW mostly looking at your lazy ass).

If we look at the difference between MT 1.0 and 2.0 it is huge. A seamless Body, two outfits, 1.0 outfit improved, several extra accessories, extra headsculpt. And all that for $210-ish if I remember correctly? It’s a great deal, especially in these times of inflation.

I get what youre saying. We havent gotten a perfect Ada yet. But for me this one is good enough, it’s 90% there.

We have to remember this is a fairly cheap third party product. Limtoys is an extreme exception when it comes to third party companies. They take so long developing figures and their figures are so cheap. I sometimes wonder if they even make a profit at all.

Dam however is licensed, way more expensive and in my opinion did a much worse job. Delivering a soulless looking figure with a huge body that doesnt even scale with Leon.

No the figure isnt perfect, but I can clearly see the passion MT put into this figure.

Yeah I was only joking. There have been the odd Chris’. I had the zc toys ‘STRAS’ version but couldn’t get behind the head sculpt. I missed out on the village master team figure. I’d love a new RE1 or 5/6 Chris. Hopefully soon.

Stras Chris head is pretty decent close to the 3D model more tanned than pale but it is the only Dracula Chris we will ever have.

This might be sacrilege but I hate the STARS outfits, individually they okay but line them up im half expecting them to say “it’s morphing time” and call upon the Megazord to fight yawn.

Don’t get me wrong I Love RE1 but that’s outfits I can’t.

The MTToys Chris wasn’t great, they improved massively by the time the did Leon so a Village Chris 2.0 with the tactical gear would be awesome.

I’d love a Village or RE7 Chris. As for RE6 that’s probably my favourite Chris look but if they did Chris I’d be fiending for the rest of the crew line Piers, Helena, Sherry and Leon (china outfit)

I’m hesitant for more remake but seeing how they tackle the RE5 outfit would be interesting.

I mean the STARS outfits are pretty tactical. Chris or Wesker would not look out of place in COD, and with Modern COD the multi color nature would fit right in.

In Village i prefer his Jacket, and we was robbed of his awesome casual look from the concept art it’s more i am an advocate for complete figures. Village Chris should absolutely come with both the jacket and tactical gear.

All of Chris’s canon looks are very tactical and COD like that’s probably why Chris isn’t my favourite.

If you have a team in a multicoloured uniform im automatically gonna think power rangers or Star Trek

If anything I would want to see a return to a city type landscape and would prefer a more agent suit type aesthetic investigating something in a more horror focused game. Might seem boring to some people but it’s something we haven’t seen in a RE game yet

Or go full casual with a new character and have them experience an outbreak in real time. Like take the resistance characters and have them try and fail to escape raccoon city in a full game or just remake outbreak file 1 and 2.

RE needs those campy outfits/uniforms otherwise they blend it with being boring and generic. I found both Claire’s and Jill remake looks boring especially once Claire removes her jacket is pretty meh look wise. Their STARS uniforms are pretty iconic in the gaming world Power Rangers or not they do stand out and aren’t just regular/boring swat looking team. Besides not looking like Chris I found RE7 Chris very uninspiring. I found the looks in both 7/8 pretty generic, tactical Chris was an okay look but missing his iconic green clothing.

For me I don’t think RE has a set aesthetic for character designs, it’s more about the evolution of the design as the game progresses. We’ve had full tactical looks, biker shorts and mini skirts. The only aesthetic missing is a suited Agent look.

I don’t want it to be the new standard but I’d love to see that for one game. The Jacket lost quickly because it’s RE and jackets aren’t allowed passed the intro acquiring additional pouches and gear as you progress so the final look barely resembles the beginning.

Every RE game has a second playable character so they could be more classic RE in design.

The only consistent design element in RE is the shoulder holster so I feel that fit perfectly in line with RE but each to their own.

I liked Claire’s outfit in RE2R the jacket was nice. I disliked Jill’s in RE3R tho… that’s basically just a re colour of Claire’s and too close to modern Tomb Raider so I get the boring complaint.

I even think RE4R Leon’s outfit is less interesting than his OG look.

The STARS outfits are iconic no doubt and if RE1 or RE0 does get another Remake I think they need to keep the iconic look to the STARS outfits. It didn’t impact my enjoyment of the game but aesthetically the mismatch nature of the uniform bugs me so I wouldn’t collect the full team if made.

Definitely not advocating for boring swat dudes, please no… I’m all for campy over the top outfits and adding shoulder holsters to everything.

I liked Chris’s 7 and Village outfits for what they are, but they aren’t his best looks but I do want some representation from those games because I really liked RE7 and Want each Era/ trilogy of RE represented in some way and with Ethan being a faceless self insert the only realistic option is Chris… tho I guess that ship has sailed.

Even power rangers are iconic and easily recognisable, that was my childhood so not a criticism just personal preference.

That looks to be the case unfortunately, you don't need to use super glue, just use like fabric glue or something.
