I'm a huge resident evil 4 fan. I've completed that game and then some. I like the resident evil movies the same way I like the first underworld movie...silly and cheesy but good very watchable to me. Underworld Evolution though...that ^^^^ was tight.

It is good to see this movie building hype. But I have to say as a fan of the ENITRE franchis, I have read all of the novels, own all the games except gaiden for game boy, I have the HT figures, I have the NECA figures, and some of the older figures. So basically I love everything Resident Evil, I know that the movies did not stay true to the games story but I loved them just as much as everything else! The only game I was iffy about was RE 4, because of all of the pople who jumed on the RE bandwagon and all of the gay Leon fan boys it spawned.

I completely agree with you by you're saying the many spawned noobs due to re 4. I loved re ever since it came out, was the only video game series I would keep up with... Hell as a kid I was so desperate for re action figures, I remember using my red ranger from power rangers as tyrant when I used to play with my figs lol... Don't ask why the red ranger of all figures..........

Leon could have been a great character from where he stood in RE 2 just RE 4 strayed so far from the story IMO..

I felt kinda bad when that game came out, but was all excited when they released code veronica x for the PS2. I think the only one i didnt play was the GBA Gaiden game, the rest Im played through.....oh and the first part of the online game as well.

From what I can tell by watching the trailers in HD on a 24" monitor, Im guessing it would look amazing on a 54" TV on BluRay. But might wanna get the reg dvd as well so I can watch that one in the other room.

Just finished d/l it, going to watch it tonight, hope it's good. Do you have to play Umbrella Chronicles to really get the film? I played all other RE games except Umbrella Chronicles, haven't beat it yet.

If you know who Leon and Claire are from the second game and know your way up to the 4th game then you should be fine. You dont need to know anything from Unbrella Chronicles though. Its a pretty good movie thought I think youll like it if you like Resident Evil.

Aight sweet, because Umbrella Chronicles is the only piece of the RE Cannon that I haven't played; and didn't know if there was any connection between the two. Thanks.
