I'm so stoked for this!!! Though I doubt it will have this but I think a cool feature would be to let the player have the option to choose what camera angle they want. Classic or over the shoulder. That would be so cool.

I'd like to wait until the 2nd generation 3DS since it will be better but I don't think I can wait, I'll get one day 1. Too many of my favorite franchises being created for this for me to wait.

Yeah it was pretty cool when they added that into the lost in nightmares DLC. Sure it was kind of hard to aim, but I think if they accounted for that, adding in a traditional RE aiming option, it could be pretty cool...and doable IMO

Nintendo's actually pretty good about their 1st generation lasting quite some time. My NES/SNES/N64/Gameboy/1st Gen DS & Wii all still work, so I'm not worried

Oh yeah no doubt my orginal gameboy still works and all systems back to the NES. I just meant they'll improve it in some way but after all the iterations of the DS, etc. this one may not need many slight changes to improve it...maybe a large screen at some point, etc. I'm day 1, no doubt though.

Seriously, Dead Space scares you? To pee in your panties? I suggest you move up to the likes of the Silent Hill games, Siren, or Fatal Frame. You'll s.hit bricks in fear.

Personally I found Dead Space scarier than the Silent Hill games though I've only played SH1,2 and parts of 4. I still need to check out Siren and Fatal Frame.

I don't see how anyone could ever feel afraid in Dead Space. You were practically a walking armory for almost the entirety of the game.

Resident Evil (the first few and Code:V) is scarier than Dead Space.

I suppose to each his own my friend. What made DS creepy to me were the noises. The whispers in the music, the clanking of metal and roars of Necromorphs in the distance etc. I'll admit though DS did rely on alot of cat scares too at times.

The only SH game I found creepy was SH2 when you first get into town and theres all the fog and in the distance you can see those creatures that look like their trying to get out of a body bag and move around bizarrly, that and when you get close to them the music becomes all static but other than that, the SH games never freaked me out.

As much as I love RE, they're really not overly creepy or scary to me. There are some real intense "oh sh#t!" moments definately like when the dog jumps through the widow in RE1 or the first few times you run into Nemesis in RE3 but those feelings of dread didn't allways last throught the whole game for me like in DS. The RE games (at least the earlier ones) definately make you feel more vulnerable and in certain parts give you a sense of dread but overall I never found the RE games really scary for the most part. The only RE game I felt a constant sense of dread was RE3 and that was because of course, not knowing the next time ol' Nemi is gonna pop his up his pretty little head.

Dead Space was an awsome game, but I wasn't ever scared or creeped out. The only game that consistently does that to me anymore are the Silent Hill games.

Ahhh..to return to the good old zombies in Resident Evil...

I guess our brains are wired differently, my friend. I'll agree that the first time you hear the odd sounds in Dead Space, it was pretty disturbing, but once you actually go up against the Necromorphs, you realize within moments that they are easy to dispatch. It also doesn't help that your weapons are very powerful and continue to grow in strength as the game goes on. Sure, some enemies might surprise you on the first encounter, but generally I thought the scare factor was pretty weak in Dead Space. It was more like an action game like RE4 or RE5 to me.

What creates a frightening moment for me is when a game makes the player feel helpless. No ammo, weak weapons, very few health items. Combine that with truly disturbing monsters that you can't see lurking around and that creates fear. Silent Hill has that in spades. The SH games also take place in a very realistic environment that many of us may have lived in: a normal town. Something we can connect to.

But this is off topic, I guess. Back to RE: Revelations. I doubt that game will scare me, unless the 3D effect works well. It'd be kinda cool to see a zombie pop out of the screen.
