Waiting for the reviews, revelations is no doubt a reply by Capcom after the negativity they received from RE6

No doubt. We would of got it eventually, but im not sure it would of been so soon with added content to the main story, tons of extras for raid more and giving it a full disc release with a lower than average retail price if it were not for RE6's fail.

If we didn't get a review then the Capcom probably asked to hold reviews until tuesday.

But usually if a portable game gets a port to a console it gets a lower score :dunno

I'm saying personally add a couple of points. Since the game is going to be the same but with added stuff. It's only going to be better. If they released RE2 today, same PS1 game, but added a new bonus chapter or guns and some ****, would you personally rate it lower or say, "awesome! same great game but more stuff woo!"?

Reviewers have to rate that stuff lower because they're comparing it to games currently out.

Revelations got really good reviews. It's scores were between 8.5 - 9.0 from most "mainstream" reviewers. Any review for the console edition won't stray far from that.

I'm saying why wait for a review when there's technically already "reviews" out there.

The reviews for this game shouldnt dictate how good it is among us guys. Knowing its liked universally is awesome but i think we are not the average gamers. If the game gets bad scores, it doesnt matter. I think its what we would like. Its the natural progression from Re 4 & 5 with Remake style settings and monsters (spoiler alert....... but the ship is decked out like a big mansion & lab in places and we have familiar T virus monsters scattered throughout)

The only negative I have with this game is the story, but that's only because it feels disjointed from the rest of the REverse. The story as a stand alone is decently engaging. It has some nice plot twists and reveals. It just doesn't really add anything to the overall canon. And likely all the new characters will never be seen again...as per the usual Capcom MO.

The story sucks, its crap. But it doesnt matter.

By the gameplay, settings, costumes (characters in the game have their place) and all that stuff work really well.

Revelations feels like it takes place after or before a game we never had.

Revelations is the Code Veronica of this era. Its not a numbered title, but it is canon with main cast, crazy story and bad guys but the gameplay and settings are old school.

Not playing 6 is better than 6

The first level of Leons campaign is how all the levels should be, and the banter between Jake and Sherry is how the characters should be. Everything else was a mess

Your gonna need to start communicating via typing otherwise ill remove your arse

Not really, Code Veronica was intended as the official third Resident Evil entry before they turned Resident Evil 1.9 (Nemesis) into it. It closed Claire's story arc, and began a new one with Chris and Wesker.
