You, Bodie, and snad are missing the point. Don't you remember what SSC Reps said....this was all done to save us on shipping costs. It was all done to benefit us.
that comment was unbelievable.. seriously...

Frankly, I disagree with your notion that fiberglass holds more detail?! Were does that load of BS come from anyway? The rhino head is fully polystone, so where does it lack detail as opposed to the body? Simply does not make any sense to state otherwise. [\quote]
Jerry from PCS said he is exploring casting with different outer layers such as vinyl with polystone cores. He said a lot of detail is lost with polystone. Unless your a sculptor at that level yourself, well I'll take his word over yours.

The only detail(s) that you are missing is the big picture. Have you taken the time to review some of the polystone sculpts I suggested? They are all hyper detailed. If not, have you at least inspected & compared the polystone Rhino head to the rest of fiberglass body? I mean how can you get any more details into a sculpt than that?
A picture is worth a thousand words. So forget somebody's word & open your eyes. In the meantime please feel free to point out any fiberglass sculpts showing these superior details you speak of, that equal the sculpts I mentioned. And lets not even get into the plastic feel & look of the fiberglass. Cheap, cheap, cheap. Only good for the producer/seller, not the buyer.
You pay $400 and yet having to do this was acceptable to you? Once sideshow sees that they can send out statues with cracks where people will just accept them and decide to fix them themselves, QC will only get worse.
Instead of coming from the factory the way it should have, you had to buy extra materials to finish off a $400 statue that has major flaws in it.
If you were buying a new car and it had scratches all over it, would you still want to pay FULL price for it thinking well maybe I can find red paint and some bondo to fix these areas and they will be perfect like it should have been from the factory?
Never said its acceptable or not. Just saying its an easy fix. Different buyer have different acceptability. One can always accept a partial refund or full refund.
And comparing this to a new car is not the same.
I still see rhino ex statues go for top dollar in eBay and I'm pretty sure most of them have defects and are still bought like that I just have a feeling that this statue will always be bought and sold for high numbers not only because its an amazing sculpt but because its part of the spiderman comiquette series

I agree everything you said here, the only thing I don't like is he is too light, feel more like plastic, but no matter what I am keeping my cause the sculpt is still awesome and that is why eBay is stilling selling it more expensive .
Ive sold my rhino comiquette 2 years ago and now that I want him back. So I Bremen that mine had the cracks on his back and arms as well. Where these from the mold and not actual cracks? I remember seeing the exact same cracks on other members as well. They looked the same. This guy was a beast of a statue. He was 400.00 before and now something like this would be 700.00 by SS. How prices have gone up. I just bought the EX again for 700.00. pricey, but I just want him back in my collection. The sculpt was very cool looking! This will look great next to the new hulk pf's.
Update:
I've own this before but now I see him again and wow! He's even bigger than all 3 hulk pf's
Amazing!
700 sounds like a bargain for a long sold out item gratz
This is made of fiberglass, and when I was asked to destroy one for my refund from ssc it was near impossible to destroy. So basically the cracks are strickly cosmetic and not going to affect the structure or durability of the statue at all.
