I may get a reg down the line when it goes on clearance. I already have the EX on order and I think two of the bad boys flanking Sauron PF would look killer.

That's an interesting point, will these ever go on clearance if it's open edition?

I think the chances are good due to the open edition, because people can always buy it from sideshow and local stores could sit on their warehouse stock then.

I can't get over the price of this piece. Yes, it's huge and awesome, but this would be by far the most expensive PF I've ever bought (direct from SS at least). I'm affraid of what the Sauron PF will be too. I feel like SS is pricing me out of this line

Yes, both of the big LOTR companies are hitting the wallets hard lately. Dark Rider + Barad-dur + Sauron = $2300-3000+. Now I know why Frodo held his head so often.

It is expensive but I also think its very grand and demanding in size and presence. He will not be for everyone. With rising prices, collectors have to be more chosey, im starting to feel its about quality over quantity now. Fewere PF's and just displaying a few grand items.

I was gonna get a 2nd reg to display as a pair but since he's open edition I'll try my luck to get him cheaper a few years down from the secondary market.

These companies are probably very smart in focusing on higher end, perceived higher quality, and a lower volume of collectibles. I bet this has something to do with the higher expectations (read complaining) of collectors now. I can't see SS or Weta releasing anything like the PJ as corsair or Haradrim dead guy anytime soon.

Have many ordered the exclusive? I have, I just think the sword makes the piece much more imposing and menacing dont you agree.?
