Interesting. Looks like they've changed the "Coming in the Next 30 Days" to "Coming Soon." I suppose that makes sense on their part. When delays happen as often as they do with stuff like this, better to not be quite so specific.

Middle-earth wise I've got The Witch-king statue, Frodo/Sam statue, RWOS PF, and the Sauron PF all on order. Plus a couple other things so I need some spacing.

With what Sideshow is putting out this year (or so least what I have on order), I really want to be impressed by this the most. Central to my LOTR stuff.

SS can really make this year great for Middle Earth PFs if they finally do a Gimli PF, plus some of the Hobbit characters!

It's a very close race between this and the Sauron PF for most impressive PF by SS.

Gonna need some more time there.

Middle-earth wise I've got The Witch-king statue, Frodo/Sam statue, RWOS PF, and the Sauron PF all on order. Plus a couple other things so I need some spacing.

I'll need a bit of a break after the Dark Rider of Mordor so I can build up the funds for Sauron...wouldn't want everything coming all at the same time anyway...better to spread out the shipping over the year, that way we would have time to enjoy each piece as it arrives and also have the next one to look forward to.

Yeah that's why I like the flex pay. You can put your name on something but make it come further down the line and stagger it out a bit. It's one of the only reasons I order from SS and not locally.

It also helps when your wife looks at your credit card bill and see's "sideshow collectibles $170" and not " sideshow collectibles $750"



Flex pay. Saving marriages everywhere.....

Flex pay is nice but you've got to becareful not to get too many going at once. It is a great system to break up the price of SE of these more amazing bigger pieces.

I'm sure it does help save some marriages.

Well after coming into the game late and missing getting Lurtz, and the Uruk-Hai piece for a reasonable price I decideded that this would be my first LOTR PF. Still pondering Sauron as a potential second piece!

I think everyone is! I'm waiting on the in hand pics before I bite the bullet. So much can go wrong with that paint job.

I still prefer the Dark Rider though. I think it's just an all round more iconic statue than Sauron as far as my LOTR experience goes.

I've got a sneaky feeling some folk are selling their Lurtz and Uruk to fund these two. I've seen quite a few pop up over the past few months, still at terrible prices though.

I guess if you were ever to have only two statue's to represent LOTR, it would be the DR and Sauron IMO. Saving the best til last!

Can't wait for the DROM PF to arrive...should be fantastic.

Just counting down the days now, till I can hold this bad-boy in my hands and place him on my shelves.

I'm defn contemplating selling Lurtz, but he is so awesome, one of the best from SS eva! I am on my 2nd Lurtz ex right now, defn regretted selling him the first time. The only other pf I have is the WK, and that one isn't going since he is my fav baddie.

Yeah I love the Witch King. I may pick him up one day to go with the DR.

ha, yea, that would be a little too big for my tastes. I just want to see how the weight distribution on this piece is before I decide if I want to get it for sure. I hope the lower half of the steed is solid at least. He would have to be I would think.

Since the actual figure will just be mostly material I doubt the stress on the lower part of the Steed will be of concern. The base looks solid.

It says 23 pounds on the SS website which is fairly heavy, 5lb heavier than the Hulk Maquettue at least which people are calling "light".

Hulk is surprisingly light, I have him. I imagine the ringwraith will prolly be just as light himself.
