Re: Ringwraith on Steed PF..Link to buy in 1st Post.

Hulk is surprisingly light, I have him. I imagine the ringwraith will prolly be just as light himself.

Yeah I'm not fussed about the weight too much since 10kg is still a decent weight. Like you say though, I hope the actual horses legs are supported well.

The day's are gone of solid statue's unless you go custom.

Re: Ringwraith on Steed PF..Link to buy in 1st Post.

I've checked and its the same weight as my weta cave troll thats pretty heavy.

Re: Ringwraith on Steed PF..Link to buy in 1st Post.

I suspect him to have some weight. I mean its a big *** piece in person.

Re: Ringwraith on Steed PF..Link to buy in 1st Post.

I figure the base will be solid, and hopefully the legs/tail will be nice and stout for the long haul. Horse will not be solid of course. Curious to see how the figure itself will feel in hand as it's mostly cloth with the legs and arms exposed, hard shell wrapped in fabric I suppose.
I can't wait for this.

Was the fabric not great on the Morgul Lord PF?
I suppose it could be something that can be touched up/weathered relatively easily with some paint and sandpaper.
This will be the PF with the most cloth for me so I'll have to wait and see.
Would be great if his armor is all metal, but I doubt it.
Still waiting with baited breath...

It is, they tell you on the SS website.

Each piece is individually painted and finished with Sideshow's trademark attention to detail and authenticity, featuring a fabric costume and real leather and metal accents.

You would hope that would be the minimum on a $750 statue. I can almost buy a small car for that!

I would much prefer metal armor, myself, but my guess is, it'll be the chains that will be metal, not the armor. Armor is something they've always done with polystone in the past. :(

I think the cost would have been to much to do metal armor, sword would be cool though the maquette sword was plastic/resin. Some of the horses gear in metal would be a nice touch.

That would be nice if the metal details were actually made of metal.
We'll find out soon enough.

The REG seems to be sold out for most of the retailer here in germany, though it's an open edition Oo

It's not "Open", it's "Limited". :D

...and it looks like many dealers in the US are also pre-sold out. :dunno

Re: Ringwraith on Steed PF..Link to buy in 1st Post.

The import duty to the uk is what kills this for me.

I could be wrong but don't retailers only get a certain allocation of pieces and then they can't get any more? I hear of this in other threads a lot when it comes to regs and retailers.

Hello guys, this may be my first LOTR statue and I´m trying to catch up with the post but I don't understand the difference between the Exclusive Edition and the normal one. Is the dagger the only difference? Also they both have the same price tag right?

What a great way to start! Yes the dagger is the only difference (& the fact that iys limited to 500 pieces while the reg is not numbered). If u r buying directly from sideshow website then yes there is no difference. I believe other sideshow retailers can sell it for lower, but they dont sell the exclusive edition.

Yep the swap-out sword is the only difference Legionpichon :wave

The Regular will only have the dagger.

Yep both the Reg and the Ex have the same price tag, but the Ex can only be gotten from Sideshow. That means TAX and Duty and big shipping costs for anyone outside the US. Where as the Reg can be got from your local friendly dealer (normally for less than retail) - that is, if any are available.

As I live in Ireland, I'm afraid the Exclusive will be way more expensive that the Regular for the likes of me. :slap
