Looking at you picture, there's something really wrong with the 'pocket' on my hood. My pocket is way to big and all the material for it just falls down vertically and looks bad. Hmmmm.

I'm about to go crazy trying to figure out this or Sauron. I'd like to jump on this exclusive before they sell out since Sauron doesn't have an exclusive version... but what if Sauron sells out??

Then what about if they do release a Ringwraith on a fellbeast?

That is an option for sure. If you can afford both that's what I'd do because both are awesome. However, if you have to choose just one I'd go with Sauron.

My photoshop isn't installed on my new computer - so this is a crap pic in more ways than one. My space is too small to get the right angle, but it shows scale pretty well.

And yes, they are perfectly in scale and make great display companions.

nice pic, love the Indy CM too Dave. get mine soon, still think maybe they should have had the robe polystone aswell like the weta one, this will probabley change when i get it though.

I thought he was. I truly meant it when I said he would be one of Sideshows best pieces if he comes out in production in the same level as the proto.

Well, I think it will be money well spent.

personally I am getting both but I'll have to disagree with you on this, if I was forced to pick just one it would be this all day long.

It is simply a more iconic representation of the film, Sauron appears for about 2 minutes of screen time in the entire trilogy but who can forget the dark riders pursuit of the 4 Hobbits whilst on horseback in the first half of fellowship.

If Sauron comes out that good, and I can use my points and maybe flex the rest I'll probably get him. As these will be my only statues they definitely complement each other. But both the Dark Lord & Dark Rider may have to sit in their dark boxes until I can find suitable space.

That's fine. We can agree to disagree. I'm not saying this isn't a good looking piece. I have this on order and should have mine on Monday. I agree it's a fantastic representation of the character, and it does draw your memory to those moments. The Ringwraiths are awesome and among my favorite bits of Middle-earth. However, there is only ONE Lord of the Rings and this piece captures his look, presence, and feel as perfectly as you'll find. Really you can't go wrong with either piece but if push came to shove I'd choose Sauron. It captures him as I said and it is amazing to see Jerry Vanderstelt's work in 3D. As a fan of Tolkien, Jackson, and Middle-earth I couldn't be happier with either.

I ordered this first because there's way less that could have changed from the proto. All they really had to get right was the horse.

With Sauron that paint still as me itching my trigger finger. At 1500 edition size and $900 I think I can wait and play it safe first.

I think Sauron will probably be the more impressive piece but the Dark Rider I'd agree is more iconic (for me). It's apples and oranges really.

Both are very different but but will compliment each other. I was late to the party on the LOTR stuff, I would have loved Lurtz and the Berzerker but I think they've saved the best two til last.

Well possibly not THE last but they are arguably the biggest villains in series. Plus the LOTR PF's have been out for a few years now.

Fremen, the first pic of this new bunch of pics is really nice. A little dark but it looks like the robe seems better and probably the pic that match the most the prototype ressemblance.
