Someone is going to have their waitlist converted.
After thinking about it, decided to return my EX, and got the RMA number last night.
Not worth $850.
Mine is flawless, so someone guaranteed to get a good one.

Remember, that is only one person's opinion. Nothing against the person, but there PLENTY of people here who love the Dark Rider and do feel he's worth every penny.

I never said I didn't like it. I love it. Just don't think SS price is justified. I thought it will change once in hand, but still, it bothers me, so I will vote with my wallet.

That's fine. My point still stand you're one of the few here whose gotten it and didn't think it was worth the money. What I was getting at was don't not get it because one person didn't like it. See what the group as a whole is saying before adding that to your decision making process.

That is always true. If possible - See for yourself before deciding.
It's a nice statue, and I would have loved to keep it if it was in the $500 range. Some would say 500 is too low - Again, not TO ME, that's all.
I say, if anyone is on the fence - You have to get it. Then decide for yourself if it was worth 1, 2, 3, or to some even 4 paychecks.

Someone would have to pay me way more then $1000 for me to part with mine. That's how much I love this statue.
That being said, if it had cost much more, I wouldn't have been able to afford it without canceling a hole bunch of other stuff.

If you think this is a 500 statue your insane. This is easily sideshows best lotr work, any company for that matter.
It's on the expensive side yeah, but worth every cent.

Tough call. Is it overpriced? Yes. Is it overpriced in comparison to the rest of the hobby and Sideshow products in general? I'd have to say no.
You'd have to ask would it have been worth it if it was fully sculpted with no cloth? I'd say then most people would have to say yes, maybe even you.
So it becomes about the "rags" essentially, which is ironically the entire point of a character like the Dark Rider. The flowing, scraggly, muddy robes layered on top of each other and the dark void of the face.
Darth Maul would be another example. $2000 for a figure covered in robes but I think I'd buy that too if I could afford it.
I guess for some reason deep down most fans perhaps value molded polystone more than fabric which seems equally bizarre when I think about it.
It's an interesting debate but one only the owner can settle.
