Of all his roles, he will always be the voice of Alfred no matter what I read or watch. Rest In Peace, Sir.

R.I.P. Efrem Zimbalist Jr.

As soon as I saw the headline on Yahoo news, I knew exactly who he was, even though I don't think I ever saw any of his live action work. I'm glad he lived a long life. He was a great Alfred, and one classic BTAS voice that I really missed in the Arkham games.

A few light-hearted moments to remember his Alfred performances:

:lol :clap :clap Bravo, sir! Well done.

What? Oh man, this is terrible! This is genuinely sad.

I always wanted him back in one of the Batman games/movies. Looks like the last Alfred performance he did was in the Justice League episode Starcrossed.

RIP Efrem Zimbalist Jr, the best Alfred ever, no contest.

Whenever I'm reading Batman comics his is the voice I hear as Alfred. Without realising it or meaning to its always his voice I hear. A real shame. Also always remembered him as Doc Ock in the Spiderman animated series.

R.I.P.

Just like so many voices and characterizations from the animated series, he WAS Alfred to me. I'd always compare anyone playing Alfred to his performance and none of them were even close to his perfection. It still baffles me how the animated series was able to cast the perfect Batman, Joker, Alfred, Gordon, etc, etc all in one show. You'd think someone would have been the perfect someone on a different show by now, but they really haven't come close. The people involved in the animated series just really got and understood the Batman universe and its characters. Sad day indeed.
