I agree. The body isn't made to constantly go like that, and that probably plays some role in the death toll. In most sports, not only do you have off-seasons, but your career usually doesn't last very long. Seems like most reasonably successful wrestlers have careers that last many years--either on TV with the big boys or wrestling in indie shows at Bingo halls. And they don't take time off of course. Compound this with the drug use and lack of stability (always on the road traveling, etc.), and I'm sure that wears folks down quickly.
